Thanks Allie and Nicole. I was extremely put off by The Duke and I but I'll try her other series.
Hmm... I guess since I'm only 20% it's easier to start over than read 2 books. I should have held off on starting it :/If you're really turned off by Julia Quinn we could do a different author. I had a book on my tbr for most authors on everyone's lists
No, that's fine but thanks. I don't wanna be a diva about it or anything. LOL. Luckily my library has audiobooks of the Rokesby series so I can listen to that. :)
I have some Julia Quinn.... Does it matter which one? or one just by her?
It can be any book by her for this challenge!

I don't think there is a selection post we have to make just the completion posts right?I'm reading The Duke and I. I am rereading the first 4 chapters so I can count it towards the challenge lol.
Knowing what happens at the end really makes this book strange because I love the characters and humor so far. I mean Daphne has some 'not like other girls' vibes which is a little annoying but the book was written 20 years ago so I can excuse that. But obviously the (view spoiler). However the audiobook is really good, Rosalyn Landor is one of the best historical narrators I've heard.
I have about 5 hours left in the audiobook for
so I'm gonna try and get as close to done as I can before I fall asleep and hopefully finish it in the morning.
This is a busy school week for me (3 tests!) so I might be slow in finishing, but I plan to have it done by Friday or sooner since it's not too long of a book.

Sorry I've been so absent. I'm only 30% into my book. I have no good excuse. My son has been dragging me outside non-stop the last couple of days and the sun is making me lazy. Tomorrow is supposed to be rainy, so once I finish his school day, I will have him off to my husband and try to finish this book.Did you enjoy this one and more Jamie? I'll update my teach tomorrow morning after work.

If we end up getting the FAC prompt who do we want to read? The only 4 so far are Julia Quinn (which we can say no to), TJ Klune, Jeaniene Frost, and Tessa BaileyI'd prefer Tessa Bailey but I can do either of the others.

Out of those choices I'd go with either Jeaniene Frost or Tessa Bailey. I really struggle to quickly read TJ Klune. While I enjoy his books, they drag on forever.
I vote for Tessa Bailey as well. I enjoy a lot of her work.

Several of you have the wrong page count - we are using the GR Kindle first edition page count for this challenge. Please correct, but I will not wait for the corrections before assigning the next task. It doesn't affect your completion of this task, but it will for some.

Can fictional animals count (dragons, griffins, etc) or only real-world animals?

MK said mythical creatures count! I think two of us need to read 2 books and I might be able to do that. Scribd has A Case of Possession which is only 200 pages so it would be quick to get through. And then I'd read one of my other 2 options.

No worries 😊! I don't think scribd has any original or exclusive books, it's basically a cross between Kindle Unlimited and Audible. It's $9/month with a limited selection of ebooks and audiobooks. I've been enjoying it, it has a lot of audiobooks my library doesn't have.

I've been spoiled for some of the questionable stuff that happens at the end but I've heard nothing like that happens in her other books. I also know that someone on my GR who hated the Bridgertons liked the Rokesby's.
