26 Books in 2015, each beginning with a different letter of the alphabet. (Not counting articles like "a," "an" or "the") to create your own special Alphabet Soup.

For example:
A- And the Band Played on
B- Beautiful Day
C- The Call of the Wild
Etc.

You may use books that are from other mini-challenges, but not the Group Read titles. (Because then we'd all have the same soup.)
You may want to create a post with just the alphabet, then fill in books as you read them. Or create a "master list" of what you plan to read, then check them off as you finish each.

So kind! But I suspect that I am the woman... Who is procrastinating! :/

message 19: by Melissa (new)

Melissa Coyle | 1557 comments So what is making you procrastinate? I'm getting off to a slow start, really only into my 2nd book. I feel like daydreaming more than anything else.

message 20: by Renee, Mistress of the Mini-Challenge (new)

Renee M | 4789 comments Mod
Oh, the usual. Chores to do. Papers to grade. Snow to shovel. It's so much more fun to play with fiction. :)

message 21: by Kassandra (new)

Kassandra | -1 comments Melissa I'm having the exact same problem! Daydreaming has been taking up my entire week. My second book is interesting but still not enough to pull m away from the dreams.

Renee, shovelling snow is a great way to procrastinate from grading papers.

message 22: by Melissa (new)

Melissa Coyle | 1557 comments I'll stick with daydreaming. :D

Evan (perfect_leaves) | 97 comments I finally decided to get in on this challenge. I've been having a hard time balancing school and my extra reading, so I only set my yearly goal at 12 books this year, but this challenge sounds like so much fun I couldn't resist. message 41: by Evan (new)

Evan (perfect_leaves) | 97 comments I changed my recipe a bit- I'm now only using the freshest ingredients (meaning I'm not counting anything I read before June). That gives me half a year to read 26 books, which is insanely ambitious, given my reading habits. I'll see how it goes.

message 42: by Renee, Mistress of the Mini-Challenge (new)

You can do it! Especially if you've picked books you're really interested in reading. Plus, You've got a cheering section right here. ;-)

message 50: by Evan (new)

Evan (perfect_leaves) | 97 comments Just put two more books under my belt, and I plan to start then next one in a few days. That makes 7 books for this challenge between July and August so far; it's been a productive summer! If I can keep up the momentum I'll cross at least two more off by the end of the month! I'm still looking for something for 'K', 'X', and 'Z'.
