Just completed #6 (Place) - The Lost and Forgotten Languages of Shanghai: A Novel by Ruiyan Xu. I really appreciated the author's ability to bring the reader into the frustrating world of aphasiacs. She captured perfectly what it is like to lose a language, to be unable to communicate with others, and how isolating that can be. I was not a fan of the ending as it just ended without any resolution. Worth reading. 3.5 stars

Just completed #19 (metal) - The Silver Rose by Susan Carroll. It took me a bit to get interested in this story, and throughout the book, the characters' thoughts were repetitive and unnecessary. However, once I finally got hooked about 1/3 of the way through, the book improved. Worth reading. 3.5 stars
