"Sure." Jace stood up.

She smiles, almost jumping up ans down in excitement
Jace petted Ace while waiting for Liz.
Jace smiled. "Don't destroy too much stuff, Ace."
Ace gives a couple quick barks in responceLiz giggles
"Good boy, Ace." Jace said walking out to the car with Liz.
Jace got into the car. He pulled out of the driveway and began heading toward the local shelter.
"Did you ever learn how to drive?" Jace asked as he drove.
She frowns "ive been in human trafficking for the last four years. When would i have learned to do that?"
"I don't know. It was just a question. " Jace spoke softly.
She giggles "im just messing with you" she says with a smile
"So you don't know how to drive?" Jace asked, making sure he understood
She shakes her head "dont even know how to turn on the blinker"
"Well. I guess you will have to learn." Jace replied with a smile.
She smiles "that would be cool" she says with a nod
"Okay." Jace smiled and kept driving.
Jace kept driving, glancing over at Liz occasionally.
After a short time they arrive at the shelter
She smiles at all the dogs who are there. She walks through until she comes to a full grown Huskey mix who wags his tail at her
Jace walked behind her, looking around.
She then comes up to a cage that has a small cocker spanial
Jace smiled seeing the husky mix but kept walking.
She pauses infront of the next cage that has a litgle king charles cavalier. "Aw...can i see him?" She asks as the pup trots up to the gate
"Sure." Jace replied, looking for a volunteer. He wondered how Ace would react to another dog.
Liz smiles as a volunteer comes to the cage. "If you want him youll have to chose today. The vet is coming tomorrow. Ill be sad to see him go one way or the other" the worker says casually as he slips a leash around the pup's neck
Jace watched Liz. He didn't say anything, he would let her choose her dog.
After playing with the pup she picks him up "i like him"
"Is he the one you want or do you want to look around some more?" Jace asked
"This way." He led her away from the kennels to the desk when you first enter the building.
He talked to the person at the desk and was given a stack of papers on a clipboard. Jace took them and handed it to Liz.
Jace watched her as she filled it out.
