Helen, I read the Martian, too. Several people recommended it and I picked it up reluctantly, but it is now one of my favorites! And I saw that they are making it into a movie starring Matt Damon.

It was uniquely creative how the author told the narrative's story through letters to deceased famous legends such as Kurt Cobain, which started as an English assignment.

Lucky Us by Amy Bloom

I read X by Sue Grafton. The latest installment in the Kinsey Milhone series. I think this would be enjoyable for anyone who likes mysteries and needs an 'X' to complete the challenge!
