Thanks Payten! Now I feel kind of silly though, because I just realised now that I should check the first page to see if it says anything about this, and it turns out that I could've just joined in with no problems. Oh well, at least I know better for next time (I hope ;)).

In any case, here we go! I kind of have a lot of books to add here, so I'm going to split them up in blocks of a hundred, which is how I've arranged it in my corner and it seems reasonable enough, though obviously I could be wrong.

I think I'm going to set my goal to be 67,500 pages and see how close I get to it later on.

I loved 1984! It's a book I delayed to read for so long. I'm not sure exactly why, maybe because I always had something else to read, or because I was intimidated by it. It's quoted by so many people in serious context, so I kind of thought it would be a difficult read either because of the vocabulary, or because it would be drab. It was an easy and enjoyable read, though there is a lot of reflection to do on this book.

I just read this book last year and would have to agree with you. I'm glad I waiting to read this until I was older. I'm not sure I would have appreciated it in high school when it was part of the curriculum.
