I have noticed this is the case with books using the NetGalley app, the not being able to highlight and the 55 days, but downloading and reading a PDF via Kindle on my tablet, I have been able to highlight, and they don't expire, so far.
This entertaining debut novel is still available on NetGalley until 21 Octhttps://www.netgalley.com/catalog/boo...
Hacking George by Bob Palmer
Am I the only one having difficulty in accessing NetGalley (and NetGalley.uk) at the moment? They're requiring all users to review and confirm their profile information, which is fine, but the "Next Step" link at the end of the page is broken, so I can't get beyond that point. Any tips? Anyone else experiencing this? I've raised it via their facebook profile, but no response as yet.

I couldn't click on 'next step' and then realised there was something I had to click on. Like a terms and conditions agreement or something or a 'I'm not a robot' checkbox. I can't remember what now but there was something that I didn't see initially!
I had the same problem as well Sarah but went back and redid it a couple of times and finally got it done but I don't I did diffently

I guess I'll give up for now and try again tomorrow. I might also try in another browser.

I did all the update last week and didn't have a problem. I hope you have better luck tomorrow Sarah..

Thanks Lee, Helen and Brenda. I'm going to give up for now, as nothing's worked on Google, Edge or on the iPad. Hopefully whatever my glitsch is will disappear by the morning...
You need to reselect the drop-down answer to every question, even if an option is highlighted. Only then it goes ahead.

Check your NetGalley shelves ladies and I was just approved for Shelter from The Storm and The Forthright Woman.
In case nobody's already mentioned it, the eighth in J.R. Ellis Yorkshire Murder Mysteries series, The Railway Murders is currently available (due for publication 9 November). It showed up as a "Read Now" for me - hope this is the same for others!

I see Devil's Way, #4 in Robert Bryndza's Kate Marshall series is up for request. Mine was approved within hours.
Thanks Marianne. I really enjoy the Kate Marshall series so requested it. I was approved just a few minutes later :-)
I only just found this one - don't like my chances, but here's one from Mick Herron, Standing by the Wall: The Collected Slough House Novellas.https://www.netgalley.com/catalog/boo...

Most of these stories have already been published, so you've possibly read them. I admit to being slack about reviewing on publication dates. I may miss out on some requests because of that, but I still have a backlog anyway. 😊

I requested this too, but I'm never lucky with this publisher :(
I was reading The New Investigations of Inspector Maigret and got to 98% to find the last four stories of 17 had a title and then [Text TK]. I contacted NG and they said they would contact the publisher, try downloading again in a few days. Did so today and now have the final four to read.
A really weird thing:I looked at this book And Then There's Margaret: A Laugh Out Loud Contemporary Dramedy but decided against requesting because the publish date was too soon.
Then, bizarrely, it appears on my Kindle app. I checked back with NetGalley, did I accidentally request it and forgot? No, when I bring up the book on either NG or NG uk there's no link for giving feedback.
I even checked Amazon to see if I ordered it (been known to happen, sometimes I look at a book and Amazon kindly tells me I already purchased it on xx/yy/zz date), but no.
A complete mystery!

Is it showing in your Amazon library (contents) online? That will show the date it appeared.
If it's in Books, it will display you the author's name. If it's in Docs, and it's a NetGalley, the author's name should say UNKNOWN.
Have you given any publishers or other review services authorisation to Send to Kindle? I send things to my sister-in-law from time to time, so she gets occasional surprises! 😊

Thanks Patty, I checked my Amazon orders and LOL, I ordered it 10 days ago when it was free. Mystery solved! Lucky my head is attached to my neck, hahaha

🤣🤣😂😂🤣🤣 I can't resist a freebie either. I have no idea why I've got some books!
Snowy Mountains Promise by Alissa Callen and Never to Surrender by Mary-Anne O'Connor (both AAs) are on NG for request now :)

I've pre-ordered it from amazon.com - it's out on 20th Sept in the US so not long to wait.
