Also, just for later reference, you can't use the series title, just the series number, so it still works for Card 2, but for a different reason.

Sorry. I'd copied and pasted from my last one, since they pretty much had the same characters. I missed editing that out.

Allison Ann | 1245 comments I just read Death by Chocolate by Sally Berneathy which I thought was a Reverse, but I screwed up because Denise just has it on her TBR. So, Denise, if you DO read it, it will work as Reverse. :D

So now I'm reading Where the Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens because that book really is a Reverse. :D

Thanks Brittany. I'm afraid we can't use Father Kit for F, even if that is what he was called, no titles. :)

You're absolutely right, but the rest of the book was so enjoyable, I gave it a pass. :D

message 183: by Allison Ann (new)

Allison Ann | 1245 comments Quick update for the end of the week for those who don't follow the spreadsheets. We have read 33 books and all but two of our coloured covers, so we are more than on track to finish the month. We have completed two full hands, have 870 points and are currently in third place. February is a short month, so I suspect our mini-challenge will start sometime this week, so everyone keep an eye out for that. We'll post it here when it starts. Otherwise, awesome job everyone. Can't thank you all enough for being a fantastic team. Keep going all!

Sounds fun. My niece has a several reptiles, and I'm in charge of care when she is out of town. Haven't made it to a reptile show yet, but is fun to wander around the craft shows with a bearded dragon hanging out on your shoulder. :D

Rayne (raynebair) | 201 comments struggling with my current read. Not sure why as it's not really a bad book. I guess it's just a mood thing.

My daughter is in her school musical, so she has rehearsals both today and tomorrow. Not much else happening.

Allison Ann | 1245 comments Rachel wrote: "Anyone have recommendations for a good audiobook? I started one this morning and didn't like it."

I can't listen to audiobooks unfortunately. Generally if the narrator is male and British, they seem to get good reviews. :D

Allison Ann | 1245 comments Denise wrote: "I am just going to the show as the driver. We have geckoes at home. They creep me out."

Geckos are a little skittery and odd. You should get your daughter a bearded dragon - they are awesome and chill and they look prickly but are really quite soft. I'd recommend snakes but if you think geckos are creepy, I suspect that would be a losing battle. :D

I am currently listening to City of Girls and enjoying it so far.

I have also loved the comedy ones, like Jenny Lawson and David Sedaris.
