Mine did the same. Now I'm thinking when looking back but I sort just went along for the ride.

They say in the books why they're hiding.
I started For a Few Demons More last night and already have #6 sitting on my Kindle from the library. Yeah what is the deal with the Clint Eastwood movies? I didn't pick up on it until I was looking at the titles of 5 and 6 next to each other. Is it ever addressed or is it just another one of those things?
So far for #5, (view spoiler)

Harrison is a fan of Clint's. At least, I think hats the reasoning. I remember her saying something about it years ago.

Good enough reason for me :) I think it's an awesome thread to work through the books.
I'm trying to catch up on some of the short stories now before I move on to book 6. X) But book six is on my kindle from the library a-waitin'. I'm also trying to finish a Netgalley and knock out a book in another series before I jump back to this one. X)

Heather's right, I guess Harrison is a fan, lol!
I'm going to the bookstore on the 10th to pick up a book coming out that my library, for whatever reason, isn't getting and I think I'm going to pick up the last three. I was going to wait til March, but I need them now.

I hope you mean personality and not looks! LOL!
I want to meet him :( And have him sign my books.
No...the long hair is so sexy! I thought he looked weird with short hair. Like, he's meant for long hair.

I hate him so hard. Did from the moment they met.
Just loving the series. Read the first five so far :)I'm so addicted to UF, it's hard for me to not binge-read a series when I find one I like. :P
I'm starting book 2 tomorrow. I just can't wait that last 24 hours! Must. Read. The Hollows. I'm a big Kate Daniels fan, too, but I also didn't really get into it until the third book. Then I blazed through the series like a madwoman.
Heather wrote: "Just read them all!!! Binge them!"I keep trying, but other series beg for my attention too. Ty & Zane, some netgalleys, etc. :P
Okay, okay okay, it's taken me way longer than it should have, but I am finally done with Dead Witch Walking(view spoiler)not really a spoiler I guess, but just to be safe...
Lol. Not a spoiler at all. There's a couple of us doing book 2 as a buddy read starting the 1st (I think) if you want to join. I've already read it, I just need a refresher.
Is it too early to start talking about The Undead Pool-era stuff? Because I really have a complaint about (view spoiler)

I still need to get The Witch With No Name. I haven't read it yet.

I finished and I'm quite unhappy. I was a wreck when (view spoiler)
I think I need a break in between books because I'm sad sad sad.

Lawl. Sorry. I can't say anything.

I know. I know the title, which is why I didn't answer. I'm reading the last three in March most likely.

I'm kind of wishing there were different threads for each book in this series, haha. So many conversations!!!

THATS RIGHT!I was wrong about what I said before guys, I got my two books messed up: For those going into books 5-7 prepare yourselves. Do not read the blurbs about what each book is about or anything like that. I thought it was just books 6&7; that's what happens when you read them all so close together.

I forgive you :) This goes until 7??? Uggggggggggh

I thrilled about getting back to this series. Between this series and the Longmire series I can't seem to get through other challenge books fast enough. I want to binge both of them!

I can't even read your spoiler yet, I'm only half way through and I'm thinking it is a slow read also.

It's the slowest in the series. Harrison does that on purpose to build the world and the story. It picks up around chapters 7&8.
Skipping all the spoilers about later books seeing as I've only just finished #2. I like to spread out my series rather than binge because I get burned out otherwise. Final comments on

I have to say, this thread is running away from me. What started as an opportunity to read this series as a group has turned into a posting free-for-all. I am not even halfway through book #2 & all the talk about much later books (up to #11 now) is confusing and disrupting, even if ignoring all the spoilers. Obviously this series has many fans but I hope it picks up soon because frankly, I don't love it. It's ok it's just not raving great. I was hoping to experience it with people at roughly at the same place. This is a long series & so far I don't like it enough to keep reading one after the other. It's like a "cozy" UF instead of a "cozy mystery", meaning it's more cute and light so far. Even when deaths occur there's a disconnect for me. I was hoping for more KMM's Fever series or Charlaine Harris' Harper Connelly series. May have to bow out of this one.
Sorry that you're not loving the story, Beth. It's happened to me in other series, too. For the sake of getting the series read back on track, somewhere in the past the suggestion was made that we read Book 2 starting Feb. 1st and read one (maybe 2) books per month. I don't have a problem with anyone reading ahead and don't mind the chatter about future books as long as everyone continues to use spoilers and clarifies which book they are discussing as the mods requested. Everyone is doing a great job with spoiler tags...mucho kudos! I love the excitement and encouragement those who have finished the series are bringing to the thread!
Personally, I have too many challenges to binge on any one series...as much as I want to. I'm only working on a gazillion different ones. : )
It is more fun to read a book with others, so after we finish book 2, I suggest we see how many want to wait until March 1st, and how many want to move right on to book 3. I'm looking forward to starting book 2 with the group tomorrow!

I again agree. I was really happy with this one. It reminded me of Kate Daniels in that book 3 is where that series picked up too (for me). I was actually yelling out loud (view spoiler)[when she made a deal with Al. Thank goodness my husband wasn't around. (hide spoiler)]
I had no strong feelings about Nick at this point. Book 4 is when the hate started.
