I would read them in order, as the familial story builds from book to book and there would be major spoilers within the family if the books are read out of order.

Michelle | 623 comments Botanical garden
Like a Flower in Bloom Like a Flower in Bloom by Siri Mitchell - the garden in this one is privately owned but viewed by others.
A Beauty So Rare A Beauty So Rare (Belmont Mansion, #2) by Tamera Alexander - My sister read this one. The cover looks like a botanical garden.
The Nature of a Lady The Nature of a Lady (The Secrets of the Isles, #1) by Roseanna M. White - this one is a public botanical garden.

Amusement park
The Ride of Her Life (Lake Manawa Summers, #3) by Lorna Seilstad Engaging Deception (The Joplin Chronicles, #3) by Regina Jennings - an electric park in Joplin, Missouri.

I hope this helps.

Crystal | 743 comments I have a ton of books I need to read that start with an E for Tumbling Titles. Someone had posted a list of books that started with E for to help with that particular challenge and for some reason, I cant seem to find where they posted. I'm probably overlooking it somehow. Does anyone remember what thread that was posted to so I can reference it? Thanks!

Crystal | 743 comments Can I ask for help with one more thing?! I'm stuck on the CFD Library Adventure. I need a book with a beverage on the cover. I've read several of them and am not finding many others that aren't part of a series. I've even searched for Christmas novellas with a beverage like hot chocolate or coffee on the cover and just seem to be coming up short! Thanks!

Anyone got any suggestions for a book with a character who is a professional athlete? Also, a question about that . . . do Olympic athletes count? Because, technically, they're not professional athletes.

message 381: by Michelle (new)

Michelle | 623 comments Both of these books have characters who are former professional athletes. If for Any Reason (Nantucket Love Story, #1) by Courtney Walsh Falling for You (A Bradford Sisters Romance, #2) by Becky Wade

Most Olympic athletes today are professional athletes. The only way a book featuring an Olympic athlete wouldn't work is if it specifically said the athlete was an amateur.

Does the Bradford Sisters series need to be read in order?

message 390: by Michelle (new)

Michelle | 623 comments If you want to read the whole series, it's best read in order. Willow (the sister in book 2) has character development in book 1.
All of the sisters are introduced in book 1. If you just want to read book 2 for the challenge, it should be ok.

This library 'board game' challenge is . . . challenging (lol!). (I love it, though!) Does anyone have any ideas for a book with a character that cooks for a living? No one else in the game has actually landed on that space, ironically enough, so I can't piggyback off of their ideas. 😉

message 393: by Bridget (new)

Bridget | 437 comments Serving up a Sweetheart by Cheryl Watt

Josi S. Kilpack has a Culinary Mystery series

I've not read either of these so not 100% sure if it fits the challenge, but those are the two I thought of

I read The Saturday Night Supper Club (The Supper Club, #1) by Carla Laureano awhile ago (actually the whole series).
Also this year read Civil War books With This Pledge (Carnton, #1) by Tamera Alexander and Colors of Truth (Carnton, #2) by Tamera Alexander that has a consistent B Character of Tempy the cook in them.
