Spook Street by Mick Herron#4 in the Slough House series and best installment so far

I finished a book that I won in a GR Giveaway. Tempting The Dragon King
by Kiersten Fay. This is the first book in the Dragon Lords series, but it's set in the same world as the her Shadow Quest series. This meshes a few genres. It's a science fiction paranormal romantic suspense novel. While there's plenty of action and steamy scenes, there are some deeper threads that center around domestic abuse, child abuse, grief, and honor. My 4 star review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
This is the book im currently reading. I really like it so far, i cant wait to start the sequel. Im planning on finishing it this weekend.
Right now I'm reading "What Once Was Mine, A Twisted Tale" by Liz Braswell. it's really good so far and not your typical Disney Tangled story.
Race Cars: A children's book about white privilege is an illustrated story of two cars, one black and one white, who are best friends. The "committee" keeps making the black car's race longer!
4★ Link to my review of Race Cars with several pictures.
The thriller Falling, by T.J. Newman, has attracted a lot of fans, and I can see why. It would make a terrific movie or mini-series. A terrible dilemma, lots of tension, and some good characters.
3.5★ Link to my review of Falling
I was delighted to enjoy watching Richard Osman's Thursday Murder Club solve the mystery of The Man Who Died Twice. It's every bit as good as their first outing, I reckon!
5★ Link to my Man Who Died Twice review
Just finished „The White Queen“ by Philippa Gregory which I really enjoyed. Now I can‘t get enough of the Wars of the Roses and watched several documentaries during the weekend 😁Apart from that I‘m currently reading „The Shadow of the Wind“ by
Carlos Ruiz Zafón. Very magical atmosphere thus far!
I finished 7 Spirits, 4 Friends
by David MacNamera.My 3 star review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
London Rules by Mick Herron
The Slough House series is utterly addictive, and the novels have been written as standalones.

I just enjoyed the tender and funny Under the Whispering Door by T.J. Klune, the story of a selfish man who uncomfortably learned about friendship, love, and life only after he died.

The Last Time She Died by Zoë Sharp, one of my favorite authors.
Her newest protagonist holds so much potential and intrigue as a main character!

For such a shy kid, Andy Warhol surprisingly grew up to become a famous Pop Artist and friend of celebrities. Here's another book for kids and their grown-ups. (colourful education!)
4★ Link to my Andy Warhol review with some of the illustrations.
The Rowland Sinclair historical mystery series is terrific. He and friends travel around the world "between the wars" (WWI & WWII), chasing Nazis, dodging gangsters, mixing with the rich and famous (which Rowly is himself). Cameos: JFK, Errol Flyyn, F. Scott Fitzgerald among others.

I just finished Norse Mythology
by Neil Gaiman and I loved it so much! As a Marvel Comics lover, I really wanted to know more about Thor, Loki and all the other gods who live in Asgard, and Neil Gaiman never disappoints! 5/5 starsCurrently reading Atonement
by Ian McEwan. I have high expectations on this one and it seems really captivating so far.
Better off Dead by Lee Child and Andrew Child.

fra wrote: "I just finished Norse Mythology

I've heard a lot of good things about Norse Mythology, one of the Neil Gaiman books I don't have under my belt yet. At least from the Sandman comics, I like the way he depicts and paces mythological stories.
2 short stories from Mick Herron that he set in his Slough House milieu but are independent of that series -▪︎

The Chaos Kind by Barry Eisler
This combines characters from his two other most popular series. As this is the first thing I've read from this author, I can easily report that it works fine as a standalone. Spies on spies action.
