Just saying that I love Ozark, is this book similar? I'm finishing up Elanor Oliphant is completely fine. Its good but I think over hyped.
I just enjoyed the children's picture book of the colourful, (some might say outrageous, especially her fashion designs) Vivienne Westwood by Mª Isabel Sánchez Vegara. What a wildly inventive lady and role model for kids to learn it's good to stick up for others and protest against evil.

The current Buzz Books 2020: Spring/Summer is chock-a-block with excerpts from all kinds of new books and it's free for anyone. But be warned that it will tempt your wallet. I picked a few I like the look of.

I loved this all over again. Wallace Stegner's characters and relationships are so real, and Crossing to Safety is still wonderful.

I just finished Heartland: A Memoir of Working Hard and Being Broke in the Richest Country on Earth and it was tough on the soul. Great read. Review to follow.

Maybe you could add it to a Buddy Reads thread here.

I always enjoy Aussie Emma Viskic's deaf detective, Caleb Zelic, his deaf community, his Aboriginal extended family, and the harrowing escapades he gets caught up in in spite of his best intentions. Darkness for Light is the third in the series.

Aussie author Terence J. Quinn's The Scoop is a rip-roaring modern pirate story that may make you rethink what fun it would be to sail around the world. Many readers have loved it, so I feel like a traitor!

I am a firm fan of Louise Penny's Chief Inspector Armand Gamache of the Sûreté du Québec. I love visiting the fictional village of Three Pines, although it does seem to have a lot of homicides! How the Light Gets In is my favourite in the series so far.

Maybe I should have listened to the Tom Hanks audio of The Dutch House by Ann Patchett, which has had some rave reviews.

Address Unknown by Kathrine Kressmann Taylor is a terrific story, first published in the US in 1938, as Hitler was promising to restore German prosperity. It had an amazing impact then, and it's no less amazing now. READ IT!

Finished Bad Blood: Secrets and Lies in a Silicon Valley Startup

I just finished Red at the Bone. I thought it was ok. I think I'm one of the few that didn't either really like or dislike it. I'm currently about halfway through Life Will Be the Death of Me: . . . and You Too! and I've just started Darling Rose Gold.
It's hardly the Definitive Dylan, but this book for kids, Bob Dylan, by Mª Isabel Sánchez Vegara is a good introduction to a unique singer-songwriter and the first musician to win the Nobel Prize for music.

I love Maggie O'Farrell's books, but this one, about herself, is something else again! I Am, I Am, I Am: Seventeen Brushes with Death is 17 stories from her life, which could have been a lot shorter at least 17 times!

JUDI DENCH! Do yourself a favour and spend a few minutes listening to this little radio play online. SO good! Two in Torquay by Alan Bennett, who plays the role opposite Judy. It's a quarter of an hour that will brighten your whole day!
