Autumn is my favourite season, but currently we are still struggling with a heatwave with temperatures atound 95-97 F during the day. duh :(
I love spring and summer, too. I'm not looking forward to winter at all. December is only 3 months away. Not happy at all. It's Labor day, but don't labor too much:)
I’m sorry I wasn’t on goodreads yesterday and it was because me and my parents were sick with the stomach virus

49* at 5:00 AM and we may get early frost here in Minnesota. This time of year temps go up and down.
Our temps are quite variable this time of year as well, Leona, but I live further south so typically warmer. Our temperature range today is expected to be from 56-81℉ (13.3-27.2℃ for everyone else). It is looking like a beautiful day out. I am going to try to read outside for a bit today and soak up some sunshine. I am not looking forward to the days ahead with less daylight hours.
I live way down south. Today is 88. This weekend will be in the very low 80's. Then next week, it'll be back in the high 80's. I agree, I'm not looking forward to less daylight hours, either.
9* at 5 AM and supposed to be in the low 80s today.I am reading On the Royle Range
by William W. Johnstone I won on GR. I have a few of his books.
Hurricane Francine will hit us here in TN tomorrow and last until Friday. We're getting high winds and lots of rain. We need the rain since we've been in a drought for the last two months.

Yes, I agree with Leona. I'm glad you are getting the rain you need, but stay safe. Hopefully, you will be be safe and dry indoors the whole time.
I hope everyone who was affected by hurricane Helene is doing fine and recovering. We received 3 days of continuous soft rain.
Glad you just got some rain, Groovy. We also got some rain, but nothing more significant. I hope everyone else here fared well. It was certainly devastating in some areas.
Hi, I’ve recently both gone back to reading and rejoined Goodreads. Looking for friends and to expand on my reading. I discovered audio books and it changed everything for me. Due to a disability reading can be extremely difficult for me. Anyway, audible is my source so far. I read paranormal, fantasy, romance, suspense, and sometimes horror. Friends and suggestions for reads as well as advice are all welcome.
Welcome to our Group, Kristi, I also love audiobooks and approx 2/3 of my reading is done by listening. :)Also, currently working on an individual audiobook-challenge for the Group that will be launched next month. :)
Welcome, Kristi. I'm also a big audiobook listener. I started listening during my work commute years ago when the radio wasn't enough to get my mind off work. I love it now.An audiobook challenge sounds fun, Mel. Looking forward to it!
♡Kristie,
For clarity's sake I should have added that I'm working on it under the guidance of my Creative Director, Karen, who is my Authority on all-things-audiobook. ;)
Welcome Kristi,I listen to audio books when I drive. It takes me a hour for go to my daughter's house and I go the back roads. I know when to turn off the book when I get to an area there is traffic.
A recycle center my daughter likes has paint, cleaning products, and more people take to the center instead of going in the trash and people can take items. There may be most of the cleaning product gone but still enough to use.
Anyway, the county library donates books and one time had audio books. Limit of 10 items per person so I got 10.
Welcome, Kristi:)I would also like to add that I'm glad hurricane Milton is gone. My thoughts are with everyone caught in its Florida path. That poor state can't catch a break. Let's hope the people will be able to recover without more weather threats.
Hope everyone here is doing well, also.

Just watching the news with the videos was terrifying. :(
I don't know if anyone else has heard, but if you haven't been getting any email notifications from Goodreads, it's because they have canceled it. Now you have to log in to see if you received any communications from your forums. And if you notice, the tiny box above your comment box has been unchecked. I hate changes.
I noticed that. I had to go into my settings to request notifications from some of my groups. It seems the switch was a little glitchy. I wish they'd inform of the changes so we don't have to find out by missing things.
I agree, I don't understand why it is such a big deal to make an announcement. This way it all appears hush-hush and discourteous and members get rightly upset.
A day or so would go by before I remember that I have to log in to see if I received any email communications. So, Kristie, since you reset your notifications, are they back to normal, or do you still have to log in?
As you said earlier, they don't have emails any more, but I think I'm getting all my notifications now. Honestly, I'm not really sure. I always go to my notifications page and click on the threads from there. I'd have to think of one that I usually follow and haven't seen recently, then go check the thread to see if I missed any.
I got over a inch of snow on Halloween. It rained so a lot is gone and today should be in the low 40s.
