Thanks, Leona. :) I enjoy it. I just went to a get-together for Project Linus today where we worked on blankets. I crocheted a border onto a fleece blanket. It was my first time doing that, so it was nice to learn something new and be able to do something nice for someone at the same time.
Crocheting or knitting is a wonderful hobby. It's good for easing stress. Hospitals use it as a way to help their patients. Although I did try to get my daughter into it, but she's not having it.
No problem Leona and oh that’s cool Leona and thanks Melindam and thanks Groovy and lol your funny Groovy lol
It was in the 40s today and I have only seen a couple of patches of snow. Ice is stil on the lakes but I am sure getting thinner. My daugher found a cartoon that said Happy Groundhog Day and a Forecast: You need a cruise. We do a lot of cruises.
I went to a Half-Price Bookstore today, not knowing it didn't open until 11. Wound up waiting for fifteen minutes or so. By the time it did open, seven cars with about twenty or so people were waiting to get in the door. Just gave me warm fuzzies for some reason. I love that people love books.

My daughter took me to a recycle center the other day, She gets a lot of paint and cleaning products and more. No charge for some counties and I am one of the counties. A limit of 10 items once a week. People can drop off items instead of going to the land.
Anyway, the county libraries also sent their books and I picked up 5 audio books and 2 books.

Christine wrote: "I’m sorry I haven’t been on here much and it’s because I’ve been sick"so sorry to hear that. Being too sick to read is dreadful
I received the following announcement from Simon & Schuster about an author event they are hosting in New York City on April 8th at 7:00 pm. It will be live streamed and the tickets are $15. The list of authors is fantastic so I thought I’d post it here in case anyone is interested. I’ve already registered ! https://www.simonandschuster.com/p/si...
Will you be watching, Christine? I will be. I don't really care which team wins this year, but I will be cheering for the 49ers.

Should there be a warning on books?I do not believe in banning books or censorship, but after trying to read The Grave Tender, by Eliza Maxwell, I think that maybe there should be some kind of warning.
At the beginning of a movie or television show, you get a warning about graphic content. This book contains rape, brutality and paedophilia, which you don't find out until you are actually reading it. It would have been nice to know that before I actually read the book.
Again, I am not saying to ban the book, or censor it, but just give people a small warning before they even read it.

Yes I think that is fair.

I totally agree. Years ago I won a book that had two children missing. The end of the book had the childen in a snuff movie and even though the book was hard to read, that was not what I expected. I threw away the book.
I agree. When books contain serious subjects like rape, extreme violence, especially against children, and things along that nature, there should be a warning. I can read suspense containing dead bodies and murders. But I don't enjoy it to the point of extreme gore and violence. If I know the book contains that, I will not read it.Good question, Becky.

I can honestly say that donating them to those in need is so much more satisfying than selling them.
