Leona, that cruise sounds amazing. We were supposed to visit Italy this year, but our plans had to change. Hopefully, next year. I think we'll have to make a few trips there to see the different areas. They are all so different. I'd also love to see Egypt! There are so many places I'd like to experience.

So much history there.
We want to go back to Egypt when the new museum opens.
Today it will be 92* F for the high and tomorrow it will be 64* F for the high. We do need rain.
A new backyard is fun, Christine. There's nothing like it. I'm glad you had fun. I love my backyard.
I just had to share this link with everyone here. You think you've seen everything...It just shows how amazing creation is. Have you ever seen a jellyfish that looks like fireworks:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9D0ey...

Nice!
The theme for this year's UNO team challenge was unusual animals and one of the teams was named after the Firework Jellyfish. :)

Thanks for sharing, I love seeing the underwater universe.
Love that we are talking about spring and summer activities as winter looms! I am not ready for the change in seasons but I guess it is time to get out the SAD lamp and set up my morning book corner to power through. Good thing tomorrow is an Amazon stuff your Kindle day. Last time I got a lot of romance books and I think I'm going to try to get more mystery/thrillers this time. Is anyone else downloading willy nilly or do you have a plan of attack?!

That is so beautiful. Thank you for sharing it.
I recently read the Mnd Fuck series. It's a book that has been on my shelve for a long time and was only picked because I was in a slump yet it managed to be an amazing read. The only thing holding me back from giving it a chance was the cover which failed the story for me. I wanted to know if anyone else has also judged a book by its cover and regretted it. And, do you really think a book shouldn't be judged by its cover?
I am a definitely a judge a book by its cover person. I do think the it's true that you shouldn't judge a book that way, as it's not usually the author choosing the cover and sometimes they don't match at all. I've read many books that don't match the cover - sometimes it turns out well, other times not so much. Some examples:
- loved the cover, didn't care for the story at all
- The cover for this series always makes Mercy look like she's all sexy and flirty and it's not her personality at all.
- I thought this would be a light YA read, but it's not. It's a more solid read than the cover would have you believe.

The illustrator pictured a child with a teddy bear on the cover.
The authors do not choose the covers and I recently read the same cover can be used for more than one book. I agree some covers do not fit the book. I am in Minnesota and the geese are already gathering to fly south. I am originally from Texas and do not look forward to winter.
OMG! Someone has a giant skeleton with wings and glowing red eyes (a la Stranger Things) on a street in town. Well, the thing is motion activated and scared the bejeezus out of my dog on our walk this morning. It not only moved but snarled!
Your poor baby. If it's not fireworks, it's Halloween. Dogs would usually bark back fiercely when startled. I hope your baby gave it a piece of its mind--LOL!
I wish I had seen that. I love the Halloween decorations and don't have a try me button around because I will push it.
I had to look up Gatlingburg as I knew nothing about it. Looks like you are in for some serious fun! :-)
Hey, Book Lovers! I’m moving to Montreal from the US next month. I’m looking to join a book club to make some new friends. Do any of you live in Montreal or have any recommendations? Thank you!
I gave up on reading I'll Be Gone in the Dark. the repetition of the word pseudonym was driving me nuts.
I received some autographed books from Pete Nunweiler and Cory Phillips while I was in Gatlinburg. Yes Dorothy I had a fun week.
ooh Bodies mini series on Netflix. V good. Created by Paul Tomalin and adapted from Si Spencers 2015 Novel. It's a time travelling whodunnit
No snow here yet, Leona. We've been having a warm spell. It was in the 80s (℉) here yesterday. Although it's only supposed to get to the mid-50s today.
Happy Halloween from Madrid! :) We are spending some days here during the school fall holidays. It is a gorgeous and fun city. :)

Crazy weather next week; it will be 91* on Tuesday and 67* on Wednesday.
I have aleady seen the geese gathering to get ready to fly South and the leaves beginning to turn colors.
Groovy- I will have to check on your books you write.
I have "talked" enough.
Have a good day.
