Hope you have no side effects from the second dose. :)
Sorry to hear about your anxiety re vaccine jabs. I have faced many needles in my long career as a transplant patient so I have learned to take them in stride. I find it helpful to relax and do some deep breathing at the time and don't look at the needle. Good luck with the second dose. You are doing a good thing. Also, your 15 minutes of waiting should be done seated.
Thanks, Kristie. I AM prone to anxiety. I hope to goodness there are no side effects from the second dose, either. But now that I know what to expect, I'll behave a lot better. Did you have any noticeable side effects from the second dose? Thanks, Dorothy. And I hope you're doing well as a transplant patient. I'm going to do exactly what you advise next time--relax, breathe deeply, and definitely don't look at the needle while I stay seated:)
Good for you, Sonya. Take care of yourself.
I'm so happy it's Fall. It's actually a beautiful cool day today and it's the best thing ever that I don't have to turn on the air conditioner! All the windows are open and a nice fresh breeze is keeping the house nice and cool. Yay! My electric bill will finally go down now!
That's excellent, Christine. I will be reading today, but not comic books. I am doing some traveling and hope to at least finish One Two Three. I wasn't sure I really wanted to read it from the blurb, but now I'm enjoying it. I'm heading home today. My mom had knee surgery a few days ago so I was staying with her. She is recovering now.
Christine wrote: "I hate fall JoJo_theDoDo"Sorry to hear/read that. It's my favorite season. Leaves changing colors of oranges and reds, making smores with my kids by the fire... Where I live I hate Summer, it's unbearably hot and humid.
Thanks Kristie and oh that’s cool Kristie and I’m glad I reminded you Saar The Book Owl and Tammy and I hope everything went well with your vaccine shot Groovy and thanks Groovy and Sonya that’s cool that you have a new therapist and Dorothy I didn’t know that you were a transplant patient and I agree with you Kristie and oh that’s cool Kristie and I won’t be reading comic books either Kristie and oh ok Kristie and oh that’s cool Kristie and oh ok Kristie and oh that stinks that your mom had knee surgery Kristie and oh that’s good Kristie and oh that’s good Kristie and it’s ok JoJo_theDoDo and oh that’s cool Jo Jo_theDoDo and I love summer JoJo_DoDo and I agree with you that it’s unbearably hot and humid JoJo_theDoDo and I hate fall Tammy and Joy
That's good to hear, Kristie. I'm glad your mom is better.I don't particularly like fall, for a number of reasons:
1. It means winter is just around the corner. I hate the cold.
2. My bronchitis and allergies flare.
3. My days of sitting outdoors are numbered.
I love summer, too, Christine.

I wonder why movies always release on Fridays? I feel like the new James Bond film that comes out in three days is missing an opportunity with today being Global James Bond Day. lolHow is everyone doing? It's been a bit crazy around here lately. It seems every so often things get a little chaotic, then settle down again. Fortunately, I think we are heading into the settled back down time.
I know it feels early, but (it IS October!) I've just decided to get all of my Christmas shopping done early this year so we can have a no stress holiday. I'm planning to enjoy the holiday season more this year and I'm doing little things to make it enjoyable. So, I just went to this really interesting pumpkin display and I'm reading a Halloween mystery. I'm even planning to go see the new Halloween movie, which is not my thing, but my friend loves scary movies. lol I think I'm going to add apple picking and a corn maze to my plans. I don't want to do too much, because then it feels overwhelming, just a few fun festive type things.
Anyone else doing anything to enjoy the season?
I think they release movies on Fridays because that's the start of the three-day weekend. People are off from work and free to fill those theatre seats. At least that's what I heard.I just took my second covid shot. I think the pharmacist and I bonded a little bit--LOL. He was so kind, and made this experience nice. Now my daughter won't have to worry about me as much.
It's October--horror movie month--my favorite. All I see is winter is just around the corner--not happy. Kristie, let me know if the new Halloween movie was worth it. I think they should have quit after the second one. I mean how many times can you kill someone? They set him on fire, chopped off his head--I mean seriously. To me, the more you drag out some blockbusters in sequels, the more it sucks.
I can't believe there's only two months left in this year.
That makes sense, Groovy. I'm sure the weekends are the busiest times at the movies. Get those 'opening weekend' numbers up by releasing on Friday. Glad you got your second shot and it's over with!
lol, I haven't seen every installation. I like that Jamie Lee Curtis seems to be going after him now. She has become quite the bad@$$ in these movies. Nice to have an older female who can kick butt for a change. The preview seems like Jason is a bit more than human somehow. I guess we'll see how it is. I think we're going in a couple of weeks. I'll let you know what we think of it.
I also can't believe we're heading towards the end of the year already. It seems to have gone so fast this year.
I miss going to the movies Kristie and I’m going to be watching horror movies and I’m going to be reading mystery/suspense books and ghost books in October Kristie and I’m going to be watching Christmas movies and I’m going to be reading Christmas books in November and December Kristie and I hope your second COVID shot went well Groovy and I agree with you Groovy
I'm hoping to watch a few seasonal movies, but not too many scary ones. lol I want to watch Hocus Pocus again, which I haven't seen in a while, and a few things like that. Maybe the original Ghostbusters!? I'm looking forward to the new one coming out. I will definitely be watching some Christmas movies this year and I have quite a few Christmas books put aside, so I plan to read a couple of those too.
I'm also looking for a good Thanksgiving book and maybe a movie. I know they're out there. I just can't think of any off the top of my head.
I love watching horror movies Kristie and Hocus Pocus is my favorite movie Kristie and oh that’s cool Kristie and oh that’s cool Kristie and I’m going to be watching a lot of Christmas movies Kristie and I have a lot of Christmas books that I will be reading Kristie and I can’t help you there Kristie
I absolutely love Hocus Pocus. It's a fun movie. I love Bette Midler.Kristie, as for Jamie Lee Curtis, can you believe she started in the series as a young teenager? And now she's in her sixties! It's really something watching her age through those sequels. And I think you're right, Michael isn't human. Maybe they'll do one last movie and explain what alien inhabited his young body at five. Then they can get rid of him for good--LOL.
And thank-you, Christine. I have to admit, that second shot has almost floored me. My daughter had to take a day off from work to look after me. I don't know about anybody else, but I felt no pain in my arm, just the nausea, low-grade fever, and dizziness hits me during the evenings especially. I guess being prone to stress doesn't help.
Covid, Sonya? I hope you get better soon. Take very good care of yourself. And enjoy your book.
Oh that stinks Sonya and oh that’s cool Sonya and I absolutely love Hocus Pocus too Groovy and I agree with you that it’s a fun movie Groovy and oh that’s cool Groovy and no problem Groovy and oh ok Groovy and oh ok Groovy
lol, Groovy, yes! I'm hoping there is some explanation as to how he can walk out of a burning house completely unscathed in this one! Oh, I hope the side effects go away quickly and and you feel better, Groovy. That's awful.

Christine wrote: "What are you talking about Kristie?"I'm guessing that you're referring to the house fire comment? Groovy and I were discussing the Halloween movies and in the preview for the new one he walks out of a house that is burning down.
Sonya wrote: "No not COVID. Cerebral palsy. My spellcheck on my phone is stupid."Glad you don't have Covid, Sonya! I was wondering about the "co" too. Silly spellcheck.
I joined Goodreads in April of this year and got all excited and motivated to read, read, read! This is the first group I joined when I started on Goodreads. Then, I started thinking maybe I should join another group because I'd like to read more classic books as well. However, I have discovered that I quickly got overwhelmed having even two groups filled with monthly reads, challenges, and discussions. So, I decided to leave the other group and just stick to this group. The two monthly/theme books per month and the option of joining in monthly book challenge seems to be the most comfortable fit for me!

I'll know how to act for the second one, which they say, is when the symptoms really kick in. I hope y'all's experience was a lot better.
