It sounds like a wave of anxiety releasing after the injection! Hope you have no side effects from the second dose. :)

Thanks, Dorothy. And I hope you're doing well as a transplant patient. I'm going to do exactly what you advise next time--relax, breathe deeply, and definitely don't look at the needle while I stay seated:)
Good for you, Sonya. Take care of yourself.

I'm heading home today. My mom had knee surgery a few days ago so I was staying with her. She is recovering now.

Sorry to hear/read that. It's my favorite season. Leaves changing colors of oranges and reds, making smores with my kids by the fire... Where I live I hate Summer, it's unbearably hot and humid.

I don't particularly like fall, for a number of reasons:
1. It means winter is just around the corner. I hate the cold.
2. My bronchitis and allergies flare.
3. My days of sitting outdoors are numbered.
I love summer, too, Christine.
It's National crush-a-can day. What???!!! There's a day for everything.

How is everyone doing? It's been a bit crazy around here lately. It seems every so often things get a little chaotic, then settle down again. Fortunately, I think we are heading into the settled back down time.
I know it feels early, but (it IS October!) I've just decided to get all of my Christmas shopping done early this year so we can have a no stress holiday. I'm planning to enjoy the holiday season more this year and I'm doing little things to make it enjoyable. So, I just went to this really interesting pumpkin display and I'm reading a Halloween mystery. I'm even planning to go see the new Halloween movie, which is not my thing, but my friend loves scary movies. lol I think I'm going to add apple picking and a corn maze to my plans. I don't want to do too much, because then it feels overwhelming, just a few fun festive type things.
Anyone else doing anything to enjoy the season?

I just took my second covid shot. I think the pharmacist and I bonded a little bit--LOL. He was so kind, and made this experience nice. Now my daughter won't have to worry about me as much.
It's October--horror movie month--my favorite. All I see is winter is just around the corner--not happy. Kristie, let me know if the new Halloween movie was worth it. I think they should have quit after the second one. I mean how many times can you kill someone? They set him on fire, chopped off his head--I mean seriously. To me, the more you drag out some blockbusters in sequels, the more it sucks.
I can't believe there's only two months left in this year.

Glad you got your second shot and it's over with!
lol, I haven't seen every installation. I like that Jamie Lee Curtis seems to be going after him now. She has become quite the bad@$$ in these movies. Nice to have an older female who can kick butt for a change. The preview seems like Jason is a bit more than human somehow. I guess we'll see how it is. I think we're going in a couple of weeks. I'll let you know what we think of it.
I also can't believe we're heading towards the end of the year already. It seems to have gone so fast this year.

I will definitely be watching some Christmas movies this year and I have quite a few Christmas books put aside, so I plan to read a couple of those too.
I'm also looking for a good Thanksgiving book and maybe a movie. I know they're out there. I just can't think of any off the top of my head.

Kristie, as for Jamie Lee Curtis, can you believe she started in the series as a young teenager? And now she's in her sixties! It's really something watching her age through those sequels. And I think you're right, Michael isn't human. Maybe they'll do one last movie and explain what alien inhabited his young body at five. Then they can get rid of him for good--LOL.
And thank-you, Christine. I have to admit, that second shot has almost floored me. My daughter had to take a day off from work to look after me. I don't know about anybody else, but I felt no pain in my arm, just the nausea, low-grade fever, and dizziness hits me during the evenings especially. I guess being prone to stress doesn't help.
Covid, Sonya? I hope you get better soon. Take very good care of yourself. And enjoy your book.

Oh, I hope the side effects go away quickly and and you feel better, Groovy. That's awful.

I'm guessing that you're referring to the house fire comment? Groovy and I were discussing the Halloween movies and in the preview for the new one he walks out of a house that is burning down.

Glad you don't have Covid, Sonya! I was wondering about the "co" too. Silly spellcheck.

Since, it's National Pierogi Day I think that will be part of dinner tonight and have my kids get in touch with their Polish roots! : )

I'll know how to act for the second one, which they say, is when the symptoms really kick in. I hope y'all's experience was a lot better.
