Marianne (cloggiedownunder) | 9975 comments As a fan of Mick Herron's Slough House series, I was pleased to see that Wollongong City Libraries has some instalments on audio, so I revelled in the gravelly-voiced Sean Barrett (perfect for Jackson Lamb) narrating Slow Horses.

Carolyn | 9836 comments So glad I finally got around to starting the Innkeeper series from writing team
Ilona Andrews with this first in the series Clean Sweep (Innkeeper Chronicles, #1) by Ilona Andrews Clean Sweep.
I love a good fantasy and the concept of a magic, sentient Inn works really well.

Marianne (cloggiedownunder) | 9975 comments Exit by Belinda Bauer will be out in February 2021. It's my first by this author, but won't be my last. Brilliant and entertaining British crime fiction.

PattyMacDotComma | 3297 comments Olav Audunssøn: I. Vows takes place in Norway in the 1200s. This translated edition was released just this month. Author Sigrid Undset won the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1928. This has all the feuds, arranged marriages, hard times, difficult romancing you'd expect from such a cold place so very long ago, but I think some of her other writing must have been what earned her the Nobel.

Marianne (cloggiedownunder) | 9975 comments I finished the audio of Earthly Delights, the first book in the Corinna Chapman series by Kerry Greenwood today. It's read by Louise Siversen, who made it just as enjoyable as the first time around, but I realised my first read was in the days before I wrote reviews, so my review from today's read is a very short one.
5★s (except for the icky blood bit)

Marianne (cloggiedownunder) | 9975 comments In two weeks, fans of the series can get another Timothy Blake fix when Hideout by Aussie author, Jack Heath is published. I got an early read and found it just as entertaining as the first two. And I'm pretty sure of answers to 39 of the 45 riddles...

Carolyn | 9836 comments Having started several but not yet finished any other Brandon Sanderson series,
I started another one and listened to an audiobook of Skyward (Skyward, #1) by Brandon Sanderson Skyward. Only book 2 is out so far (with book 3 expected next year) so I should be able to keep up with this one.

PattyMacDotComma | 3297 comments A Chorus of Innocents (Sir Robert Carey #7) by P.F. Chisholm was another entertaining instalment in this historical fiction mystery series set in 1592 on the English/Scottish borderlands. Ah, the intrigue! Such a great way to soak up a bit of history. But mind the bloodshed!

Marianne (cloggiedownunder) | 9975 comments Christopher Ragland has absolutely the perfect voice for Jack Heath's unusual protagonist in his Timothy Blake series. His narration of Hunter, also published as Just One Bite, is brilliant and I do hope he will narrate Timothy Blake #3, out on December 1st, Hideout.
