Alex Cantone | 982 comments Children of Blood and Bone Children of Blood and Bone (Legacy of Orïsha, #1) by Tomi Adeyemi by Tomi Adeyemi is in so impossibly small font that I am not even going to attempt it. Sad.

Marianne (cloggiedownunder) | 9975 comments When I say that the alternate world that British author, Kate Bulpitt created for her debut novel, Purple People is very Jasper Ffordeian, that's a huge compliment. It starts with people turned purple for anti-social behaviour.... funny, clever and thought-provoking.

Marianne (cloggiedownunder) | 9975 comments One thing I especially liked about the debut novel in Swedish author, Luna Miller's Gunvor Ström series, Looking for Alice: A Gunvor Strom Novel is that the main character is my age. This is a promising dose of Swedish noir and I hope they translate the second book soon because it's definitely on my TBR.

Marianne (cloggiedownunder) | 9975 comments By the end of the first three chapters, I was not at all sure I was enjoying Kate Hilton’s third novel, Better Luck Next Time: I wasn’t liking the characters. So I am really glad I persisted, because they all got to be worth spending time on by the final chapter. Funny, moving and thought-provoking, this is a very entertaining read.
