Carolyn | 9836 comments My last read for 2019 (and first review for 2020) was the quirky Highfire by Eoin Colfer Highfire by Eoin Colfer, not nearly as funny as his Artemis Fowl books, but displaying the same sense of humour and a fun read to finish off the year.

Marianne (cloggiedownunder) | 9973 comments At 643 pages, Grown-Ups my first book for 2020 (and my first by Marian Keyes) is certainly a fat book, but I found it very readable. If at one stage I thought Keyes was labouring the point a bit, it proved relevant and I got quite immersed in this Irish family and even shed a tear on the last page.

Deb Omnivorous Reader | 1929 comments My first effort at my personal challenge was not an outstanding success. I tried to listen in audiobook format to Paradise Lost by John Milton

The narration did not rock my boat, I am trying again with actual print.
