Listened to the audio version of P.D. James' third Adam Dalgliesh novel, Unnatural Causes. A well-told story by the author and nicely read by Penelope Dellaporta. A four-star effort.
I'm about a fifth of the way into Bad Monkeys by Matt Ruff. Liking it so far. Can't help but think of 12 Monkeys every time I see the title -- this is a sci-fi mystery/thriller, so maybe the movie connection isn't so far-fetched after all.

Lies to Tell, 3rd book in the DI Mackay series by Marion Todd. Still excellent, with some thriller elements on top of the expected police procedural. https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

I like the narrator of this particular story so it's making it easier for me to stick with.
A Private Cathedral: A Dave Robicheaux Novel
by James Lee BurkeDetective Dave Robicheaux is one of James Lee Burke's most popular characters. In this book, Dave tries to help a teenage girl who's about to become the sex slave of the patriarch of an evil family.

Struggling to get through one of the Lenox books by Charles Finch - The Vanishing Man. I'll finish it because I started it but it is very poor writing, a lot of filler material. The Amazon page says it is book 12 in this series, and I know I read one earlier one and wasn't impressed, thought I'd give it one more try. Sometimes books are just not your thing, but other times they are so poor that you are amazed they got published
