Help Thread
Athena is the goddess of wisdom. Read a nonfiction book that makes you wiser by giving you more information about something you would like to know more about.
REQUIRED: In your post, briefly explain the subject that you wanted to know more about.
I read The Invisible History of the Human Race: How DNA and History Shape Our Identities and Our Futures. This book explored one of my favorite topics, micro and macro history of the human race (with some mice and louse history thrown in, along with their cousin, the rat) as it intersected with genetics, which I rarely think about it. It also explores a relatively new science of sorts: genetic genealogy, which has become my new fascination. I am a layman of impossible to exaggerate scientific ignorance, and yet I found the science in this book hard not to obsess over (so much so, I just ended a sentence in a preposition.)
