What Have You Read - 2020
Just finished reading The Reddening by Adam Nevill - was really rooting for the two female leads all the way. Such a tense and exciting book.
I saw If It Bleeds was on Scribd so I started reading. And just finished. So easy to get sucked into.
The Bank
The new Bentley Little novel follows the same reliable formula as masterpieces like The Mailman and The Store.

Adored both so I will have to get my paws on The Bank.

I just finished reading the massive horror anthology Midnight in the Graveyard edited by Kenneth W. Cain

Read this in about three sittings, not bad!
The Hunting Party
by Lucy Foley
Everyone's invited...everyone's a suspect...
For fans of Ruth Ware and Tana French, a shivery, atmospheric, page-turning novel of psychological suspense in the tradition of Agatha Christie, in which a group of old college friends are snowed in at a hunting lodge . . . and murder and mayhem ensue.
All of them are friends. One of them is a killer.

I've just finished The Border Trilogy: All the Pretty Horses, The Crossing, Cities of the Plain
by Cormac McCarthyAn amazing book. It's going to stay with me for a very long time.
David wrote: "I've just finished The Border Trilogy: All the Pretty Horses, The Crossing, Cities of the Plain [bookcover:The Border Trilogy: All the Pretty Horses, The Crossing, Cities of the Plain|6..."Glad to see you enjoyed it David. I think I need to read those as well.
I finished reading Devolution: A Firsthand Account of the Rainier Sasquatch Massacre.
There's nothing like a good sasquatch story to distract you from a pandemic!
Oh, and by the same writer who brought us the Zombie Survival Guide?
Finished:
This one was a fun ride, a chocolate box of twisted and fucked up shit.

The one and only, Ekel!
Yesterday, I finished Dead of Winter
by Kealan Patrick Burke. He's always great and this one was no different.
Recently finished reading the forthcoming book by Jonathan Janz, The Raven
A must read for action horror enthusiasts!

I finished the very good The Valancourt Book of Horror Stories: Volume One
Not a single weak story amongst them!
Greetings, all! I have recently finished reading and reviewing Sawney Hatton’s collection of dark fiction short stories in his collection entitled Everyone is a Moon. My review can be found for it here: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show.... For those who decide to read it, do let me know what you think! J.P.
The Wise Friend by Ramsey Campbell Brand new horror from this multi award winning author who knows how to spin a scary tale. This latest novel is full of creeping dread. Absolutely top class!
David wrote: "Dark Matter
by Michelle Paver A great little ghost story!"
I think it's arguably her best - great atmosphere
I just finished The Skin Trade. It's a Dan Simmons, George R.R. Martin, Stephen King anthology of short stories and a werewolf novella by GRRM. I highly recommend it. It's got me wanting to read more Dan Simmons stuff. His short stories stole the show.
Since I last posted, I've read
by Joe Lansdale. I've also read a novella:
by John Leonard. Both were good, but the Lansdale was excellent.
I finished the group read, Seven Cleopatra Hill, and really enjoyed it, though I was a little picky in places. I think I just wanted to love the characters more. The chaos was perfectly to my tastes though! My review is here: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Just finished The Odds by Jeff Strand and it was so good that I had to read another one of his works, which I have ready to go after I post this.
Really great stuff, super fun if you love horror and suspense. From what I still saw its free if you have Kindle Unlimited.

Yesterday I've finished The Old Man and the Sea. It's a classical of literature and one of the few audiobook I taken. An exciting story, sad and emotionally deep. Maybe it's one of those books that you can understand more with a second reading.

I have read it once and deeply enjoyed it, thank you for that suggestion, I shall.
