I really enjoyed the 2019 New & Old Challenge, so I'm doing the same in 2020. I'm hoping I finish all 12 this time. I'm sticking with books from the club's shelf. Some authors I have read before, others will be a first.

Old School
Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen March 9th
The War of the Worlds by H.G. Wells April 17th
Oliver Twist by Charles Dickens

New School
Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury
Mrs. Dalloway by Virginia Woolf
The House of Mirth by Edith Wharton

Wild Cards
Far From the Madding Crowd by Thomas Hardy
Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy by John le Carré
Tender Is the Night by F. Scott Fitzgerald
The Heart Is a Lonely Hunter by Carson McCullers
Frankenstein by Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley
The Haunting of Hill House by Shirley Jackson

Alternates
East of Eden by John Steinbeck
The Stand by Stephen King

Brina Love this list. We’re buddy reading Tinker, Tailor some time in January if you want to join in.

Sue K H (sky_bluez) | 3694 comments You have some great choices here Michael. Many are among my favorites. Your New School choices were all 5 star reads for me as was east of Eden. I also loved Tinker Tailor, Tender is the Night, Frankenstein and P&P. I hope you like them too.
