I finished reading a stand-alone, Where the Stars Still Shine by Trish Doller and it was very good, realistic YA. It deals with some pretty heavy topics, but they were believable and made me uncomfortable, which to me means the job was done.

I finished reading Dead Beat by Jim Butcher (The Dresden Files #7) and Krakens and Lies by Tui T. Sutherland (The Menagerie #3) which finished the series. Both books rated 4 ★.
I'm now reading Island of Shipwrecks by Lisa McMann (The Unwanteds #5) and Deceit by my cousin Rebecca Clark (Stellar Trilogy #1).
I just finished listening to the first book in the Seduction Diaries series Diary of an Accidental Wallflower by Jennifer McQuiston and I loved every moment of it. I really liked the heroine, flaws and all, and I loved the hero. McQuiston has yet to disappoint! And the narrator, Lana J. Weston was fantastic. She has a great voice and it was easy to differentiate between characters. She narrates McQuiston's Second Son series (which I also highly recommend).
Now I am reading All Played Out (book #3 Rusk University) by Cora Carmack. So far so good, Torres is living up to my expectations thus far.
And I'm going to be starting the audiobook for End of Days by Susan Ee. This is the third and final book in her Penryn and the End of Days series that I have been highly anticipating. It's downloading on my phone as I type this to pass the time, lol.
I finished The Bridge to a Better Life by Ava Miles, Dare Valley #8. The story was much more intense than the others in the series but it still has all the normal charming elements. Here's my review.
I'm now starting Ember by Kristen Callihan, the prequel to the Darkest London series.

You've really got me psyched about McQuiston.

My Review for #6

Now I'm reading #7 - Third Strike,
which is just as good as the rest.I am sad, though, I see that book #8 is not offered as an ebook even though, on her website, there is a link for ebook. So, I guess I stop at #7 until it is.
Just finished
and am listening to
now. Only 4 more books and I will be up to date on the Buchanan series.
I finished listening to The Stranger by Harlan Coben and while I really enjoyed it, I was disappointed in the ending. Good narrator, too.
I'm now listening to Firelight by Kristen Callihan, Darkest London #1.

Loved Sizzle! I have one more book in that series to read (Fast Track).

I finished Delusion in Death and am now listening to Tess Gerritsen's latest Die Again. I am also reading the third book in Julianna Deering's series Murder at the Mikado.
I decided to finish out Julie Garwood's Buchannan-Renard series. I have found that I prefer to binge read a series rather than reading one or two a month. #6 Shadow Dance, #7 Fire and Ice, #8 Sizzle #9 The Ideal Man and am currently reading #10 Sweet TalkAll solid 4-star reads with my favourite of this batch being The Ideal Man and 5-stars.
I just finished listening to
book #4 in the Lady Julia Grey series. One more left in the series and the author will not be writing any more installments, which is disappointing as I love the characters.
Now listening to
book #3 in the Amelia Peabody series. I'm not even a chapter in and giggling my head off :0)

I binge read this series until I was current with Sizzle (the most current at the time I started) and remember loving the experience. Glad you're enjoying, too.

I never would have guessed you to like the Amelia Peabody series!

Me either because its not as gruesome as my usual fare. Nevertheless, I love the characters and I have a thing for books set in Egypt :0)

I love this series, and it's one I wouldn't have minded going on longer. But I guess the fact she hasn't written a full length story for this series since 2011 should have been my first clue...

Yeah, she wrote a couple of novellas after the 5th book but even that is now at an end.
She started a new series set in the 1920s but only published one book and now she has a new Victorian series coming out in 2015 supposedly with three books planned. I also read that the Lady Julia series was optioned for a TV series, which is exciting.

I actually heard about the TV series, so that is pretty exciting. I just added A Curious Beginning to my TBR. Sounds promising.
I read
Surrender by Amanda Quick. I liked the first half but thought the second half was just OK.My review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Then I read
Killer Takes All by Erica Spindler. Again, the first half of the book was great, but I didn't buy into the reasoning behind the murders. My review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Now that Kirsten Ashley has released The 'Burb series on Audible, I am reaborbing one of my favorite series.
I finished Cold Pursuit by Toni Anderson, Cold Justice #2, and liked it a lot. Anderson is a very good storyteller and concocted a really intricate plot. Review to come.
I'm reading the next book in the series, Cold Light of Day.

I finished House Rules by Chloe Neill (book #7 in her Chicagoland Vampires series) and really enjoyed it! I've decided to keep right on going and read Biting Bad which is book #8. I've been having a hard time with my reading this month so I'm just going with the flow. :)

Can't wait!

I finished All Played Out (book #3 Rusk University) by Cora Carmack and I was a bit disappointed. Here's my (albeit rambling) review
I finished Cold Light of Day by Toni Anderson and it's another winner with quite the surprise twist at the end.
I'm now reading Scream for Me by Karen Rose. Typical of this series, I got hooked by the prologue.

I read Confessions of a Reformed Tom Cat by Daisy Prescott and didn't realize it was part of a series (book #4!!!) until I was adding it here on Goodreads. However, they can supposedly be read as standalones. And since I never got lost, I'm going to say that they work fine just on their own. I thought this was a very cute story. It was the perfect palate cleanser after some heavy NA and UF.
Oh, and I am reading book #5 in the Maiden Lane series by Elizabeth Hoyt. So far I am really loving it. I always forget how much I enjoy this series until I'm back in it.
I'm reading
. @Monica, speaking of reading out of order. This is book 16 and my first in the series!
I finished listening to Firelight by Kristen Callihan, first book in the Darkest London series. It was incredibly interesting...a mix of paranormal and historical romance. The narrator was also very good.
I'm now listening to Pray for Silence by Linda Castillo, Kate Burkholder #2. I got hooked immediately.

I went back and forth on whether or not I should read books 1-3 just to feel better. But then I realized, I survived reading out of order! Lol. I won't make it a habit, but hey, you gotta enjoy what you want, when you want. That's what makes reading so fun.

Like you, I remember how much I like this series each time I pick up one of the books.

Jonetta wrote: "I've had it on reading plans for years but...LOVED the narrator."
Lol! That sounds like a very familiar problem. :) She sounded great on the sample, but you never know -- especially if you don't get a sample of the hero's voice.
