Lol!! I love that you created the challenge and your thread has "trivia torment" in the title. You just tortured yourself with that test.
LOL! I got a low score. I only answered 8 science questions correctly.
I need to finish the test still! I haven't had much time to get to it. It's a killer though. lol So many the I look at and think, "I should have known that!"
I answered the questions as I screened for potential questions to be used in the challenge. There were a whole whack that I discarded. But I didn't do them all in one sitting. I'd grab a handful of cards whenever I thought of it and go through them. Once I answered the question, I evaluated it for possible tasks. There were some that would have been difficult to assign tasks to, so they were tossed.
I am glad I answered the Brad Pitt question correctly. I may finally get to read Ann Rice's book. YAY!

It was the same with The Book Thief. The theme was more adult, but many people shelved it as YA because the protagonist was a child.
I have to admit to being conflicted a bit by Ten Thousand Doors. There were times when it felt a bit YA'ish, especially when January was young. But, the overall themes were dark and violent which you wouldn't expect in YA.
Yep, same here. Most of the time I thought 'this is not YA', but then sometimes there were parts where I thought '...or is it?'. But overall it definitely has a different feel to it than YA books I've read.

That book has been on my shelf for year but f9r some reason I am loath to read it. I don't understand why....
This was the oldest book on my audiobook tbr and I was feeling reluctant to read it too. I really enjoyed it so I'm glad I finally read it.

I've read most of her other books and really liked them, but this book seemed to have mixed reviews, so like you and Margo, I've been reluctant to read, and it's been sitting on my TBR for ages. I have this task, so maybe I'll finally read it too.
I agree I prefer Lake House to the House at Riverton. I do like both books but Lake house resonated more/
I've only listened to one of here, The Forgotten Garden and I struggled with it but that may have been the narration.
The Forgotten Garden was my first book of hers and I really enjoyed it, enough to read more of her work. Carolyn Lee narrates all of her books. She's Australian and it worked well for The Forgotten Garden because that book started in Australia. The characters in The Lake House should have had an English accent, but I overlooked that tiny discrepancy.
Her voice grates on me occasionally. I enjoy her reading Liane Moriarty but I find it hard to her seriously in historical fiction. It is probably more to do with my expectations than with her narration lol
