Wow that’s great Lucy! I’m also doing another challenge this year with one book from every country in Europe, so this will be an amazing resource for that too! Thanks for sharing!!!
You're welcome, everyone! I'm glad I stumbled upon it, this was the first place I thought of when I found it!
I have a question about this"In the case of graphic novels or books consisting of a lot of pictures, the text must be equivalent to that of a 175-page book."
How do I know that ?

Honestly? I don't know. One group bases it on the number of words, but I don't know how they make that determination. It could be that you'd need to read the book and make a best guess.
I'd say that if you want to read a graphic novel, do it for the March monthly challenge and not for the annual trivia challenge.

I did, and I found alot of interesting graphic novels I want to read, I thought it'd be a waste not to add them in haha. but I guess i'll stick to my other books for the yearly challenge.
At this point, I'm considering disallowing them for future challenges because it's a logistical headache for me. The idea of having a minimum page length is to ensure that people are reading books and not short stories. I'll read my first graphic novel for the monthly challenge and maybe that will give me a better understanding of the format.
I've started listening to an audio book for one of the tasks. When I went to mark it "currently reading', there's no audio edition of the book. What should I do?
Lanelle wrote: "I've started listening to an audio book for one of the tasks. When I went to mark it "currently reading', there's no audio edition of the book. What should I do?"What book is it, and what task are you reading it for?
The book is The Body in the Attic by Judi Lynn and it's for Card 3: Entertainment, Nay Task - "Body" is in the title.
Lanelle wrote: "The book is The Body in the Attic by Judi Lynn and it's for Card 3: Entertainment , Nay Task - "Body" is in the title."Since the edition isn't going to matter for the challenge, go with the paperback edition. Maybe put in a request to the librarians group that the audiobook be added.

You're welcome! lol It was no trouble.
Ok, I have another badge 3/4 question. So if I read 25 book after badge 2 but don't have the 5 cards finished for badge 3, do I go through my reported for badge 3 books and post which ones I'm moving to badge 4? Do I just keep posting books and mark all of them badge 3, book 25 until I hit the 5 full badges? What is the easiest way for us to keep track of this?
I think the easiest thing to do is post everything to badge 3. When you finish 5 cards and earn badge 3 we'll move the leftovers to badge 4.I'm afraid that if we start identifying badge 4 books, it will open the door to a lot of swapping. You might identify that you want to read cards 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 for badge 3 and report badge 4 for everything else only to discover that something like a toppler has you finishing card 10 before card 5. Then you're swapping books around. I think it's easier to do one adjustment once you finish badge 3.
Same applies to badge 4. Apply everything to badge 4 and the leftovers get transferred to badge 5.
My spreadsheet should make the adjustments fairly easy and I can let people know what I've transferred to the next badge.

This has been so helpful. I am 19 books into badge 3/4 and definitely am all over the place about what will be the next read. As I start to get close to finishing cards, I try to stay focused, but with a kindle, and audio and paper all going at once, I tend to stray a bit, especially if I don't want to gopher for something tricky.
I'm constantly switching things around. I had a list of 5 cards I was going to focus on for badge 3. Next thing I knew, I had another one added to the list. 6 cards when I only need 5. Tomorrow, I could have 7 on the list. It's enough to drive you crazy.
LOL! I am right there with you, Beth and Janice. I really thought I could just work my way down the cards and finish a first book for each card and apply for Badge 1 and 2, and then, based on my "planned" choices, figure out the five cards I would finish for Badge 3. Unfortunately, group reads, buddy reads, and serendipity audiobooks that just happen to match a task have me bouncing all over too.
Do we have to post the books when we finish reading them Janice? I've been working out where books will fit, keeping note if they land on a card that I've already used for badge 1 and 2, and then saving them for when I can use them for badge 3.
I thought it would be easier for both you and us .... rather than all the swapping?

Please post when you finish reading a book and code them all to badge 3 (if not coding badge 1 or 2). Seriously, it's much easier to change a 3 to a 4 than to track 10 books at one time. Excel's "find and replace" feature is slick.

I've been looking for books for Badge 2, I have a question for card 20 Yay Task - Cover has a unicorn, or any horned animal.(just to confirm) this is okay right?

Yes, it works.
Hi Janice, I need a ruling on pages number. I read Amalia which has only one edition listed in GR: kindle, 210 pages. The kindle edition is actually the one I read.I found a paperback edition in Amazon: 207 pages.
I couldn't find a hardcover edition.

Does this work?
(I'm reading it for the Sport Nay Task - The book was originally published in French. FYI)

I don't know what that is! You could use it for the stars on cover task, but I don't think you can call it a nebula or asteroid. Sorry.
I've read Pachinko and normally I should have 11 books read, but it keeps showing '10'. I've added the book to the shelf, but it still hasn't change.
I have a question about card 3: The Art/Literature - YAY category says to read a book with 'wizard' in the title. Does the word 'wizard's' count, since it is a possessive, or does it have to be the actual word 'wizard' without anything else?

Ok, Janice, I can't believe there isn't a task for a cover with flaming underwear!! Because, it's a thing now, didn't you know? I'm sure there's going to be sooooo many more book covers with it now!
(Ok, so I just REALLY want to find a task for this book now that I've read it!)
xox,
disgruntled, but not on fire, thankfully!

Jayme wrote: "Hey Anne - I read this for Card 8 - Art/Lit Yay - The edition you read has 300-350 pages."Oooh, I do have that task... but I listened on audio, and the first paper edition on the list is only 254 pages... so I can't use it for this sniff.. sniff..
The audio version was really good though!!! Marin Ireland, who narrated Backman's Beartown and Us About You books.
