Search by ISBN. I had to do that for one of the books I added to the list. Goodreads has the ISBN listed on the book page so you can copy/paste.

The cover shows someone looking at a bunch of books on bookshelves. One book is sticking out. All you can see are the books' spines, but of course it's okay if you can't see the entire book. If the cover of a book was printed on the cover of your book, you wouldn't be able to see the pages or the back. So don't worry about seeing only part of a book on your book's cover.

Kerry *Pale Daughter* | 6 comments I might read The Book Woman of Troublesome Creek.
The Book Woman of Troublesome Creek by Kim Michele Richardson
It's inspired by the blue-skinned people of the Kentucky Appalachians. It would also be a good fit for my "a book on a subject you know nothing about" prompt.

Marta unmillondepaginas (unmillondepaginas) I will read Firmin for this prompt. It has been in my TBR list for years and never get to it :)

Dea (maidmirawyn) | 204 comments I’m reading a fun and inspiring children's book,* Ban This Book by Alan Gratz. My husband is an elementary school media specialist, and it’s one of the reading quiz bowl books his fourth and fifth graders are reading. I was intrigued by the title and read the blurb.

"It all started the day Amy Anne Ollinger tried to check out her favorite book in the whole world, From the Mixed-Up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler, from the school library. That’s when Mrs. Jones, the librarian, told her the bad news: her favorite book was banned! All because a classmate’s mom thought the book wasn’t appropriate for kids to read. Amy Anne decides to fight back by starting a secret banned book library out of her locker. But soon things get out of hand, and Amy Anne finds herself on the front line of an unexpected battle over book banning, censorship, and who has the right to decide what she and her fellow students can read. In the end, her only recourse might be to try to beat the book banners at their own game. Because after all, once you ban one book, you can ban them all…”

How could I not read it?

The cover features a locker stacked with books.

*I like to throw a kid’s book or two into the mix every year!

I think it's a book. You can see the rounded binding on the left, and pages on the right, with the hardcover binding extending slightly beyond the pages. A higher-res image I found:

Tracey Ruggles | 2 comments The Astonishing Color of After
By: Emily x. R. Pan
Prompt: a book with a bird on the cover.

This book took me about two weeks to read because it is about a child learning to deal with the death of her mother, never a lighthearted topic. The author’s use of color to describe emotions and actions in the book was unique, fun and refreshing. It was like having an entirely new set of words for various feelings. Great read for a mature young adult but amazing for anyone who has struggled with the death of someone close to them.
