Shelley | 231 comments I went with The Library of the Unwritten and loved it. It's this super interesting concept of a library of all of the unwritten books of the world, and located in hell.

The Library of the Unwritten (Hell's Library #1) by A.J. Hackwith

Ashleigh Motbey (ashybear02) | 144 comments I read Words on Fire for this prompt. Amazing book. I'm glad I read it!

message 104: by Julia (new)

Julia Spe | 26 comments I'm going to read Walls Of Glass by Amanda Brookfield for this.
Walls Of Glass by Amanda Brookfield

message 105: by Trish (new)

Trish | 67 comments I read Fahrenheit 451 for this! The 60th anniversary edition has a book on the front cover. I loved it so much! It could have fit in a few different categories, but I thought this category would be harder to fulfill than the others it could've fallen under.

message 106: by Brittany (new)

Brittany Morrison | 145 comments I just finished The Bookish Life of Nina Hill for this category. It was a nice little feel good type book. It’s not my normal type of read, but I did enjoy it quite a bit. I’m also 29, which is the same age as Nina in the book, and you can tell a lot of the references were intended for someone in the age group. A Pokémon reference was even thrown in.

Rachel | 109 comments I found this short story by Ian McEwan in a local bookshop: My Purple Scented Novel by Ian McEwan

message 108: by Abby (new)

Abby | 2 comments I finished this one for the challenge: Finders Keepers (Bill Hodges Trilogy, #2) by Stephen King . Now need to see if I can fit the other two of the trilogy in.

Monica (booksarelove) | 121 comments Abby wrote: "I finished this one for the challenge: Finders Keepers (Bill Hodges Trilogy, #2) by Stephen King. Now need to see if I can fit the other two of the trilogy in."

Mr. Mercedes could be the book whose author has flora or fauna in his/her name (StepHEN King). End of Watch could be the book whose title has three words.

message 110: by Michelle (new)

Michelle Freas | 1 comments Currently reading the The Bookwanderers by Anna James. Book on the cover.

jaadhimalli | 10 comments I am reading By Its Cover for this prompt.

I like the Commissario Brunetti series and am glad I found this.

message 112: by Megan (new)

Megan (juracekpark) | 14 comments The Storied Life of AJ Fikry. A Top 10 read for me.

message 113: by Rachel (new)

Rachel A. (abyssallibrarian) | 643 comments I'm reading The Bookseller for this one.

message 114: by Drakeryn (new)

Drakeryn | 708 comments Paladin's Grace is a fun romance in a fantasy setting and has a book on the cover (in the upper left corner). It's also a 2020 release and the author, T. Kingfisher, has fauna in her name.

Paladin's Grace by T. Kingfisher

message 115: by Melissa (new)

Melissa (melissasd) For this challenge I read The Bookshop by Penelope Fitzgerald, 3 ★. Here's my review.

Bekky | 21 comments Matilda!!!

message 117: by Linda (last edited May 13, 2020 10:36PM) (new)

Linda Martin (lindajm) I enjoyed reading The Thirteenth Tale... here's my review.

message 118: by Barb (new)

Barb Dudziec | 24 comments I was amazed at the number of options there were for this prompt. I finally settled on "Finders Keepers" by Stephen King, since I read "Mr. Mercedes" quite a while ago but never finished the trilogy.

message 119: by Lilith (new)

Lilith (lilithp) | 1087 comments I love Juliet Blackwell's books. She is thorough in her research, and her series are very absorbing. I read A Cast-Off Coven- the books are on the shelves behind the dresses. Really enjoyed this book, and highly recommend the author!

message 120: by Katy (new)

Katy Hill (kehill17) | 35 comments I'm reading Bridge of Clay by Markus Zusak for this prompt. There are two images of books in the top right corner of the hardcover book I have. So far it's been really good!

message 121: by Becca (new)

Becca | 5 comments I just finished The Book Charmer by Karen Hawkins. I loved the quaint setting of this one--it reminded me of the show Gilmore Girls with a magical realism twist!

message 122: by Claire (new)

Claire (lecari) | 26 comments I read Paperback Crush for this one :)

Paperback Crush The Totally Radical History of '80s and '90s Teen Fiction by Gabrielle Moss

message 123: by Luca (new)

Luca I'm going old school with Naruto, Vol. 03 Dreams (Naruto, #3) by Masashi Kishimoto , which has a scroll on the cover, a.k.a. what books looked like before the invention of the leaf-through bind-up! Also fitting that it's in a manga, a modern extension of the oldest form of literature: comics & illustrations :)

message 124: by Virginia (new)

Virginia (dogdaysinaz) | 52 comments I read The Lost and Found Bookshop for this prompt. It would also work for author with more than 20 published books.
The Lost and Found Bookshop by Susan Wiggs

message 125: by Irma (new)

Irma Alam (irmaalam) | 9 comments I read "The bookish life of Nina Hill". It was quite an endearing read.

message 126: by Cornerofmadness (new)

Cornerofmadness | 817 comments I ended up reading Chronicles of the Last Liturian: Book 1 - The Diary of Oliver Lee by Kenneth Rogers Jr. which I think is self-pubbed (I got it from the author at a con) and no picture on GR. sigh. Mostly I read it because I'm trying to clear books off my shelf. It was more like an anthology and was okay but not really my thing.

message 127: by Cindy (new)

Cindy Belden | 73 comments I read The Eyre Affair. I read it many years ago but had not read Jane Eyre so I didn't get the references. Now that I've read Jane Eyre it makes much more sense. The series is always good for a re-read.

message 128: by Tamara (new)

Tamara Evans (bamalibrarylady) I read "Well-Read Black Girl" by Glory Edim.

message 129: by Mande (last edited Oct 16, 2020 05:44AM) (new)

message 130: by Barbara (new)

Barbara (futuregirl) | 39 comments I read Ella Enchanted (Ella Enchanted #1) by Gail Carson Levine for this prompt. I've been meaning to read it for a while. Stinking cute. Also a breath of fresh air after reading The Southern Book Club's Guide to Slaying Vampires by Grady Hendrix which I didn't like.

message 131: by Marie-Claude (new)

Marie-Claude | 12 comments I read Paperbacks from Hell: The Twisted History of '70s and '80s Horror Fiction. The cover features the actual covers of horror paperbacks, so I figure that counts. Also, very funny and interesting even if, like me, you are not into horror books. I see it more as a (very) quirky history book than a horror book.

Bonus : It is also a quick read.

message 132: by Jessica (new)

Jessica (zumbajess) | 181 comments I read “The Library of Lost and Found” by Phaedra Patrick. I really enjoyed it!

message 133: by Liz (new)

Liz Fothergill | 48 comments If you haven’t finished this prompt yet-My Reading Life by Pat Conroy was excellent. If you’re a fan of his writing, or you’re interested in how authors hone their craft through reading the works of others, you’ll love it.
