16 - A book that has a book on the cover
I have two books with books on the cover in my TBR. Lord Edgware Dies by Agatha Christie
The Bromance Book Club by Lisa Kay Adams
There are a lot of editions of Lord Edgware Dies without a book on the cover too, though ...
Listopia tip: If the cover/edition you're looking for doesn't come up when you search for the book, go to the book page, copy the ISBN, and search for that in the listopia.

The Weird: A Compendium of Strange and Dark Stories
I'm pretty sure Goodreads already has a listopia for this category.
are already on my TBR list. Some others are:
Turns out I don’t have very many books with books on the cover!! I thought I could read The Library Book, but that doesn’t really show a book.
My two main options are:
The Bookshop on the Shore (Colgan) (shows lots of books in the background, no one book is prominent)
The Serpent’s Tale (Franklin) (shows one very beat up book underneath other items, or maybe it’s a notebook, hard to tell)

I think I am going with The Know-It-All: One Man’s Quest to Become the Smartest Person in the World by A.J. Jacobs. Clearing off the TBR!
Can there be multiple books on the cover? I'd recommend Bibliophile: An Illustrated Miscellany which I read this year. Great book for all book lovers!
Jillian wrote: "Do you think it would count if you can only see part of the book, like The Poisonwood Bible and The Storied Life of A.J. Fikry?"I was wondering this too. There are a lot of covers that show book pages but not the whole book, e.g.
Some ideas from my Goodsreads’ Want to Read list:The StorytellerThe Last Book Party
One True Loves
Fahrenheit 451
The Bromance Book Club
The Book Woman of Troublesome Creek
The Bookish Life of Nina Hill
The Thirteenth Tale
The Overdue Life of Amy Byler
I'll personally be reading The Overdue Life of Amy Byler since I already own it!
Someone on the PopSugar Facebook group just posted this link to a list on Goodreads:https://www.goodreads.com/list/show/1...
I'll probably read This Dangerous Book: How the Bible Has Shaped Our World and Why It Still Matters Today. It's been on my shelf for a couple of years. It doesn't have a picture of a whole book, but a page which is part of a book, which I say is good enough.
This is a cool prompt! I need to dig out several books this weekend, so will be on the lookout for one of these! :)
Two I found on my TBR that I hadn't already seen mentioned:The Book Charmer
Girl Against the Universe
Does it have to be an image of a book (or books), or could we count books with the word "book" in the title?
Rachel wrote: "Does it have to be an image of a book (or books), or could we count books with the word "book" in the title?"Up to you. It just says a book on the cover, so I see no reason you can't interpret that as a "book" on the cover.
The Reading Promise by Alice Ozma (memoir about a girl growing up with a dad who reads with her frequently). It's been on my to-be-read list for way too long.
and
were both on my TBR already, but I have Red Azalea penciled in for a prompt this year. I'll be on the lookout for new books that fit, I think!
I love the prompts with something on the cover! So fun to hunt. Just off work and I'm heading to Powell's to look at covers!
I see I got the credit for this one in the Facebook group but I actually pulled it from our Goodreads discussion on suggested prompts; Kendra posted the idea first. 😊And I'm thinking to read Brown Girl Dreaming for this one.

Thanks, Katy! I really want to read The Book of Essie, which would have a "book" on the cover!
I don't have much in my TBR pile, especially not fiction. So I'll probably be looking for new ideas.

I am currently reading, “The Library of Lost and Found,”which also fits this prompt. I think this is my first comment- no idea how to add a picture. 😀
Had a big hunt and I'm exhausted, but boy that was fun. And I only bought four books on the way out. Books: 4

Was just voting for Goodreads Choice Awards and noticed The Overdue Life of Amy Byler would work for this prompt
What do people think: Is a journal on the cover in the spirit of the prompt? (I have other options, just curious.)
Ellie wrote: "A journal is a type of book as far as I'm concerned. As are notebooks and ledgers."I was going back and forth about The President's Book of Secrets: The Untold Story of Intelligence Briefings to America's Presidents from Kennedy to Obama
I'm pretty sure that's more of a fancy folder than an actual book, although book is in the title. I have less controversial options, but just thought I'd throw it out for others.

I'm counting journals. It's a journal on the cover of one of my options: The Serpent's Tale

Ellie wrote: "A journal is a type of book as far as I'm concerned. As are notebooks and ledgers."Yeah, I agree.
(But for The President's Book of Secrets, I'd probably say "fancy folder, not a book")
