How-what-why-!!!!!??? What! How could you say that! In crown of midnight, and throne of glass he loved her as a friend he has always been there for her has always been there for her to talk to, to be welcomed to be accepted and just because he's related to that (bad word) king, dons't mean that he's not in every way perfect. And did you even READ the books!? In Heir of Fire and in Queen of Shadows, sure Chaol had grown to accsept some of the parts of her, but he was just a A-hole to her, threatened her court and her friends! ... And I vote Rowan by the way.
I just can't understand why people don't ship Celaena with Dorian. I mean, Dorian was the only one who accepted her from the very beginning. He liked her even knowing she was an assassin. Besides, they complement each other. In powers and in personality. Celaena made him grow into a man. They're literally meant to be. I mean, fire and ice, queen and king. Both are powerful and didn't know that before. They're like Gavin and Elena. If they don't end up together, my heart will break in tiny little pieces.

I totally agree with you. They are the perfect match. And they would make a phenomenal king and queen.

Well, actually, I feel like Dorian accepted Celaena a bit better because of the magic in his own blood. Chaol still had a little, as Dorian said,"fear and a hint of disgust" in his eyes. That may refer to him, but it still goes both ways. Rowan is more inclined to accept her because he's Fae himself, and Maeve is his aunt. But I don't really ship Celaena with anyone (or maybe I just ship her with everyone) because, to me, she's just so compatible with everyone. There's always a factor to match her with. I think I may ship her with Sam most though.

And guys, is there a thread something like this but where you add number to one and take from another eveyrtime you post? To keep track of it. Like a point game.

he just lOVES AELIN SO FREAKING MUCH LIKE I NEARLY DROPPED THE BOOK WHEN SHE WAS LIKE 'IM SORRY' LIKE BITCH SUNXUYDBCUORWYBXOFUY definitely chaol yes chaol
or dorian

I totally agree with you I would have been Chaol for life if it kept going in the book. The character that SJM developed really ended up being a changed Chaol. Before I read the third book I couldn't stop talking about Chaol then Rowan came and it became such a hard choice I would have ended up being happy with anyone of them!

Sarah J. Maas really acknowledges that it doesn't have to be one prince charming and then they live happily ever after, but you can go through a couple of relationships that just don't work out in the end. And also still be friends! I love the fact that yes people can love each other a lot but also not work as a couple, and sometimes its better to move on when you have grown apart. Chaol just couldn't accept Aelin the Queen and Fae, and his fear of her heritage and magic only strengthened her own fears. Rowan taught her to fully be herself and not be afraid of her power, and he accepted her unconditionally. Chaol loves her, but only when she fits his image of who she is.
My point is; I vote for Rowan!

I'm team Rowan all the way! :)

I agree that Chaol loves Celaena, but do you feel there are parts of her he cannot accept?"
I agree. I hate Chaol because he seems like he is limiting Celaena from being the savior she needs to be.

I know this is really off topic, but I was wondering if you guys could take the time to fill out a survey. My society and culture teacher recently issued a personal interest assignment.
I have chosen to study the impact that female protagonists in fantasy fiction (such as Celaena) have had on women and how they empower individuals and deconstruct social stereotypes and gender norms. I believe that this is a really important and relevant social concept and would really appreciate your input. :)

i just finished the fourth book and am about to read the fifth

I loved Dorian and Celaena but I understand why that wouldn't work given the political angle here. Still ship them so hard though. Even though she treated him quite horridly in the second book. Made me want to smack her. Aaaarrrggghh.
Rowan would be amazing with her, but I get the sense she doesn't yet feel that way about him in Heir of Fire at least. She still loves Chaol (stupid SOB). Hope she and Rowan can figure it out.
My vote is either Rowan or Dorian. Chaol can burn in hell. Lol.
I haven't finished this book yet. I am too scared to. I can't bear the thought of Dorian losing Sorscha. It is something I am too afraid to read about because I just KNOW I'm going to cry all night for this poor, sweet Prince. Damnit. Must soldier on.

I am so shocked Sarah J. Maas would even make him a love interest. It made no sense. The Chaol and Celaena romance also might h..."
EXACTLY.

Just wondering if you can help me out by completing a survey for my major work about dystopian literature. Here is the link: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/H8LMR8R
Thanks in advance :)

This Rowan guy isn't interesting to me, he does not have the same flaws and struggles that Choal does, hes too perfect, I don't like it! haha.... Just being honest.
Also, I feel Maas concentrated more on the romance with Choal than Roawn as the series has developed... But that could just be me

Rowan..... plsssssss
I don't want to justify my reason. I just want them together plzplzplz
