In all honesty, I really prefer Chaol over Dorian and Rowan. He didn't JUST love Celaena for her beauty, shown at their first meeting where he can't trust her, but purely for who she was. If you look at every major book, most of the couples that end up together have complications. Rowan's ok, but I just don't feel anything with Dorian. It's just a bit.. odd.

lol the Chaol ship sank in the Queen of Shadows
Rowannnnnnnnnnn. After reading Queen of Shadows, I am all over that tan white-haired green-eyed tattooed piece of beautiful royalty.
I honestly never shipped her with Dorian in the first place because he never really understood that she was actually dangerous and more than just a pretty face but I did hardcore ship Chaol and Celaena until HOF. By the end I was kind of over Chaol and totally on board with Rowan, so Rowan all the way! I haven't even read Queen of Shadows all the way through yet, after learning that they kind of got to know each other better in different ways in QOS I was beyond ecstatic.
Rowaelin all they way! This sounds so bad but I hope Lyria won't be alive and destroy the ship. And yet it would be interesting to see who Rowan would choose. Aelin or Lyria ?
Yeah it's weird the whole Aelin or Lyria dynamic... who would Rowan pick? And then there's Sam or Rowan for Aelin too. I never thought Maas would go down that road... I really thought it was Chaol. I love Chaol
I liked Chaol in ToG and CoM ( he wasn't really to blame for what happened at the end, but he still should have told Aelin). And then in HoF and QoS I think he moved on... I don't know about the whole Nesta and Chaol ship though... Nesta is nice, but as a character to me she was kinda a 'meh'.

I feel the same way. I can't continue the series if Celaena finds another love interest. Chaol has been ruined. She clearly thinks he is beneath her. Please don't destroy Rowan as well:)

ROWAN!!!!! If Celaena ends up with her cousin, or Chaol, I'm gonna scream. Her and Dorian was a good relationship while it lasted, but now he needs to find someone else to love/marry. He and Nehemia would've so cute.
Chaol had his chance, but while Celaena was gone, he didn't except her. Then he started sleeping with Nesryn.
Aeidion is her cousin, disgusting!!!!! And she would kill him in his sleep. Or he would , depends on who is more pissed off.
Rowan!!! :). No one else can match her, and push her forward as a queen and a woman.

Honestly I'm kind of banking on Manon to kill Celaena. Celaena is truly, truly a rubbish excuse for a heroine and no multitude of alluring, dark and mysterious love interests can change that for me.

Dorian is really sweet and I shipped their relationship in ToG. It was light and not too serious, but that's all it was.
Aedion: NO. JUST NO. Plus, I think (hope) that him and Lys are endgame.

I completely agree! I disliked her so much in QoS and I don't think I'm going to carry on with the series :(
Personally I love Aelin. She's such a badass and honestly I think she's one of the strongest heroines in YA. ^^
I love her too. I think that Manon and Aelin are going to be frenemies. I hope that Rowan dies somewhere along the series. It would make it so much better.
I actually really love Rowan. I was surprised at how much I got attatched to him in heir of fire lol. Of all the boys I think he understands and respects her the most.

I love Rowan too. He has been very honorable. I like him for wanting to sort his feelings out, before making a romantic decision about Aelin. And, goodness, Lorcan is intriguing:)
I agree! Lorcan's character is so mysterious. Would love to learn more about him and I hope there is some sort of showdown between Aelin and him in the future!
I want to learn more about Aedion's dad. He fought with Aelin, so what will happen if Aedion meet's his dad? Will his dad leave Maeve? I hope so. Aedion need's a father figure. Maybe that would help him tap into that power he has. Aedion might be able to protect Aelin more, although she might not like that. I really want Manon to turn good and I want Rowan to die even more.

Chaol of course! He loves her and she does too, she's just having a hard time forgiving him. I think she should end up with him because he loves her even when he saw her at her worse, for example when she threw up in front of him, he saw past that and yea i know Rowen has seen her do something gross too but i think the only reason why he likes her is because he pitys her. I'm a Dorian and Celaena shipper. Think of it: Two potential rulers of two great nations coming together to make beautiful babies and alliances. Honestly Sorscha needs to back off. How did he fall in love with her so quick? ...Why is Aedion here? Ewww.
Chaol. I liked Rowan too, but to me, Rowan is just an older version of Chaol. He would've been the "fully developed character" version of Chaol if you know what I mean. I wanted to flip a table when Celaena took off his ring. And I hated how Sarah J. Maas turned him to a useless man. Do you just suddenly hate him or something?
At first I definitely shipped Chaol and Celaena but after the way he was treating her in the beginning of Queen of Shadows I honestly wanted to punch him in the face and yell at him to get a life, he was too busy calling Aelin a monster to realize that he served the biggest monster of all before. Although Rowan was an ass at the beginning of Heir of Fire he gradually became her friend and cared for her so much that he swore the blood oath to her, I could never imagine Chaol ever doing that for Aelin .

Dorian all the way, or is that who I love the most or who Celeana does? Maybe. But I remember shipping them since page one. It will always be Celeana and Dorian and Dorian and Celeana. They make laugh and cry and cry a bit more and laugh again. I don't even know, it just felt right. Anyone but Rowan, really, seriously. He may not look old, but He IS old. Unpopular Opinion Time!!!

Chaol was too bland for me to care about any of his life choices or anything he said. I mean , come on! You can't expect me to respect or even care about a charater who has so many traits that I hate in ya men! ( The whole Nehemia fiasco doesn't help. I would rant about that to but i'm running out of charaters and the internet canonly handle so much of my complaining.)

I don't like the way Celeana and Rowan got together. They started as enemies than they become best friends, and that was really awesome by the way, but in the end without any good rendered growing sexual tension between them, they ended in bed. There was this tension between Chaol and Celeana once, I wanted the same between Rowan and Celeana, but didn't get one, maybe, in this case, I wouldn't be so disappointed.

SJM even said in an interview that Aelin has chosen who she wants to be with for the rest of the series... And she's with Rowan now; she loves him and he accepts every part of her, the good and the bad, and has never judged her for being an assassin... So.... Pretty sure Rowaelin is endgame.
Also, Aelin and Rowan have already happened. In QoS. They kissed. Multiple times. Furthermore, in regards to a comment up there about Rowan being "old", Fae do not age at the same rate humans do. If Rowan were a 25 year old fae warrior, he'd be about the size of a child, with the mind of one as well. Time passes differently for creatures that aren't human, hence why they can live for centuries. It's not creepy that he's in love with Aelin (or vice versa). In human years he's probably in his late twenties at most. It's really not a difficult concept to understand.

I ship Dorian and Celaena. The character development of Dorian is really outstanding and I like how his character progressed throughout the books. The day he discovered his magic and the responsibilities he's now facing makes me really proud of him. He's perfect for Celaena in my opinion with their banter and the way he's willing to give it all up even his crown at the 1st book just for her. I hope he hasn't lost sight of that for Celaena. Dorian all the way! My second choice would be Rowan and Chaol is just meh for me, sorry Chaol.
I can't exactly decide because I think all the Four of them care a lot about Celeana and they all have confidence in her spirit. But the way Celeana first was with Dorian, then with Chaol and now with Rowan, I don't know why i feel that it would be more grounded if she was with 1 guy itself. I really like Dorian and Rowan and I like Aedion too because he still has the respect for his cousin... Chaol, I used to like him but I feel that he doesnt accept some parts of Celeana. Dorian and Celeana both have magic powers and they would make a good match but I think Rowan really has a lot of confidence in Celeana and before, when i was reading the first 2 or 3 chapters about them, I never thought they would end up being in love with each other. I think both Dorian and Rowan are good matches for her. :)
