Vote: Who do you think Celaena should end up with?
I am forever torn between Rowan and Dorian. Such decisions...but, initially, I would choose Rowan.
Definitely Rowan, but if Sam was alive I probably couldn't pick between the two because I love them both so much.
OH COME ON ! Rowan has ALREADY find his mate and she died. Aelin didn't find hers yet. So even if they will be something between them, it would be temporary because one day she would fall for another guy, her true soul mate !It's not that I don't like Rowan, but all the contrary, I love him but I picture him more in the loyal khight and adviser. As for Chaol, he was the first love and I don't think he is going to be end game. For Aedin, maybe, it will be awkward at the beginning between them, but I'm picturing him like a big brother for her.
So, yeah, DORIAN DORIAN AND DORIAN. You may say anything about him, I love him and I believe he is going to end up with Aelin. Yes, they shared something in the first book, but they were somehow "young" but now, they are growing up, they are facing their great destiny. He is the Heart of Ice and she is the heart a Fire : They share a deep connection and they remind me so much queen Elena and her husband.
I'm not saying, that I want them to be together in the next book, but maybe the last one, after they defeat the king together, she as a queen and him, as the leader of the rebels and king. THAT WOULD BE EPIC !
- There is three books left and I'm sure there will a lot of new guys, but it will be always DORIAN TODAY. DORIAN TOMORROW. DORIAN FOREVER.
Oh, I'm fine with whoever she ends up with. But in case it doesn't work out with any of the guys, she can always unite with Manon. Come on! Those two are totally badass and together they'll rule the universe and beyong!

Honestly? Rowan. He's so wonderful, and I'd love for them to have a romantic relationship together, though I'm perfectly content with their friendship. HOWEVER, aren't they related?? I don't remember. I don't ship Dorian and Celaena, and though I do ship her with Chaol I think her relationship (not necessarily romantic) with Rowan was better developed.
Rowen would be MY pick because I love him to death--a million more times than I like Chaol, the indecisive grunt--but I think Aedion is her "mate". As a kid, she didn't know it, but Maas dropped a few hints...I think they're going to see each other and those elven senses are gonna go BANG. Rowen and Chaol might have places in her heart, but Aedion is the only one, besides Sam, who is all-in for her. That's gonna count, me thinks.

Rowan is a great character, but he feels more like a best friend, the first member of her court... but I'm so glad he doesn't show romantic interest towards Celaena.
Chaol is the only way! He's always been the one. Even if it seems that they're trying to let go, I hope when they meet in the next book their feelings for each other will come back with full force and Chaol can accept Celaena/Aelin as she is. I believe they'll fix things up and get back together!

PS. SPOILERS AHEAD.
I think a huge theme of the whole series is change and acceptance. Each of the characters undergoes a massive transformation, and Chaol has to go through one as well. His is taking a little longer than some other characters' (Dorian, for example) does not mean that he is undeserving of Celaena. Everyone in the series has seen things they were unprepared for and faced the consequences of them. Chaol has led...well, I wouldn't call it a "sheltered" life, but one in which he believes he is doing good but finds out quite abruptly that this isn't the case at all. That's some serious stuff to handle, and he has neither Celaena or Dorian to help him deal with it. He alienates everyone for their own good, because he cares too much to let them get hurt! A lot of people find this annoying in HoF but I think it shows how loyal Chaol really is. I think he will ultimately be loyal to Celaena (end of CoM showed us that) and I think that he will come to accept that magic he was taught was evil actually is not.
Dorian has moved on. He will never love Celaena like he loved Sorsha. He didn't even move when Celaena was being killed by Cain. Chaol did. But he came so close to frickin' murdering his dad when Sorsha was killed. So yeah...no.
Aedion might have those feels for Aelin, but he knows nothing of Celaena, who wants to have an ordinary life. Regardless of if she becomes queen or not, I don't think she will think of him like that, because incest: no. Let's not go all City of Bones, Sarah J. Maas. I think Aedion feels the way he does because he imagines that he'll be the one to take the blood oath...but little does he know!
Rowan: I love him. But I need him to be the friendship part of Sam Cortland without the romance part. He understands her and she him and that's all it has to be. Again, he's totally Fae & immortal but Celaena is not. She will want to be with someone who can grow old with her, and Rowan will never fall in love again after losing his mate.
So there it is. Chaolena please.

Well, actually, Dorian wanted to murder his dad because this one threaten your beloved Chaol. Still, I don't think Chaol is going to be end game, aside the fact that I want her with Dorian, Celeana is not anymore the same person, even Chaol said it in one of the book, and I can't wait how she is going to manage to tell him that.
Rowan. Rowan. Rowan.My biggest thing, is that I honestly do not know how any man she finally ends up with, would be able to live in a world where Rowan and Aelin are friends. Why? They have such a deep and profound understanding of one another, that I believe another man would always feel intimidated somehow, even if he tried not to. The only way that it could work is if Rowan died (yeah...there's the whole immortal thing so not very likely).
I also found that throughout the story I felt like Maas was dropping hints that they will eventually be more then friends. I am re-reading it, and so far I haven't found anything that says "that's it, only one mate ever!" In fact this time through things stick out more then ever. Though I could simply be making myself read between the lines. :)
Examples: The fact that his power actually can assist or inhibit the strength of Aelin's power (he's wind and ice, she's fire).

I read it last night, and Rowan is perfect for her. Dorian never seemed real, Chaol was an annoying prick, Aedion is firstly related to her (no, just, no) and seems to brotherly to her to pursue a romantic relationship. and it looks like Sam is permanently dead, if he comes back I might have to think about it more, but at this point in time. Rowan all the way.

I agree, Celeana cannot find another guy unless it's like a family member. I know that Sarah Maas will pair up Rowan and Celeana because, she has to acknowledge what the people want.
She can also influence what people want – just think about how many jumped from Chaol to Rowan ship after HoF came out...I'm 100% one of them, ROWAN all the way <3
Rowan!! I love him and Celeana together! He's tough, strong, has a good head and is the most real and in depth male character of this book. Dorian just doesn't trust Celeana enough because of her past and true identity. And then there's the whole collar evil prince thing going on now. I actually don't see Dorian getting out of that mess alive. I used to be team Chaol before book three but Rowan stole my heart! Chaol is just such an emotional brick wall all of a sudden. I started finding him annoying, especially with his rejections of Aelin because he still wants to be loyal to his twisted country and has doubts about her even though they were super close (yeah... kinda the closest you can get...) Chaol is just simply not good enough for Celeana in so many ways. He would just get in the way and cause trouble because he disagrees with a lot of choices she makes.Rowan just blew me away. When he was first introduced, I was like, NO WAY. I DO NOT AND WILL NOT LIKE YOU. But slowly, I melted into his character and was shouting at the end for them to stay togetherrrr!!! Why must you part, perfect ones?

I was a solid Dorian shipper until Rowan came along and stole my heart; Sarah J. Maas certainly knows how to play minds. The problem is, no matter which side of the people's opinions she decides to listen to (if she listens), she's going to get some haters; she can't influence everyone.
There are those who believe Rowan's friendship with Celaena must not be ruined, and that they can't be together because they are cousins and it would be incest (to which I disagree, as they are - I stress - distant cousins). On the other side, there are those who believe Rowan is the only one worthy of her, not Chaol (If you could look, you'd see me waving from this crowd). Aedion's supporters are too few to consider, and I feel Dorian is out of the picture since Sorscha.
All that said, I just hope Maas picks Rowan, and that she manages to do it in a way that everyone agrees with.
I prefer Chaol over any of the others because there's just a really nice chemistry between them. I just can't see Celeana and Rowan together.
Honestly, I never used to mind Chaol and Celaena in the previous books. However, now that we have a much better understanding of who Aelin is as a person (and by knowing what happened on the heartbreakingly horrible night her parents were assassinated), plus by witnessing her character developement in this book, I just don't think Chaol and Aelin would be a great match. I seriously don't know how people can consider Chaol a contender anymore. I don't hate Chaol, I'm not saying that. I just think Aelin and Chaol wouldn't be a great romantic pair especially considering all the weight that has been put on Aelin's shoulders now that she's accepted her responsibility to free her people.

Celorian 5evur!!! Dorian is so much nicer and funnier than Chaol and based on the events that happened in the Heir of Fire, I'm pretty sure she is over Chaol.

I don't have any logical argument for this :p but it will be weird for Celeana to just go with someone else just like this they were sooooo in love ( and they are still in love !!! ) Rowan is amazing i love him but i prefer that they keep their friendship relationship <3 I love them this way ! ^^ so team Chaol all the way I know he's been a pain in the ass in book 3 but i sens he's going to be awesome now that he finally choose his side ! :)
I love Rowan and Celeana's platonic relationship so much and I don't want them to turn into something more. It's amazing how they have each other's back without the complexity of a relationship. And I just really want Rowan for myself. But I genuinely think Celeana should go for Chaol. I love Chaol so much, despite the fact that he slightly irritated me in Heir Of Fire. I just think he's confused at the moment, torn. There are a lot of issues going on at the moment between Chaol and Celeana but I know they can work through this. It's quite evident that they're still in love with each other.
I actually hope Celaena should be with Chaol. Dorian doesn't fit with her. Chaol is sweeter but also protective and of course, hotter.

But she gets over chaol ish in heir of fire! she takes off the ring and asks rowan if you can love someone but want to hurt them!
Plus when she gets back to castle the feelings she felt for Dorian may resurface :P
I think that Dorian is the perfect match for her. Chaol doesn't have a proper conversation with Aelin throughout the books. Dorian is charming, witty and handsome; the perfect match. Chaol is just some passionate lover.

I read this on tumblr a few nights ago and literally cheered. I cannot agree more. In my eyes Rowan is the only choice at this point. It's cliche, but in order to have a solid, long-lasting relationship you have to really be friends. While Aelin has that to an extent with Dorian, he doesn't really know who she is while they're together. Chaol finds out and, while he remains loyal to her by NOT telling, he doesn't completely trust her anymore. Rowan knows and has always known exactly who she is, and he relates to her on such a profound level. Their souls are entwined now. They're so perfect together! I could go on forever about them, so I'll shut up now. But really. ROWAN. *fans self*

Cliche is ok, there is nothing wrong with cliche lol! Especially if cliche is really well written! I understand everyones point of view on how they have a beautiful friendship and it will just be ruined if they enter in to a romantic one. By te power of positive thinking it's going to happen, otherwise this Rowan fangirl will be crushed... :D
I think Maas is steering away from Rowan into the whole 'their bond is deep but it's different' territory, and she will probably end up with Chaol. But I really think Rowan would actually make the best relationship for her. I vote Rowan!
I don't think Celaena and Rowan's relationship is supposed to be romantic. I hope she either ends up with Chaol (He was amazing in Throne of Glass and Crown of Midnight) or realize that romance isn't that important and goes solo. ;P
