I think I'm starting on .. 17, all the drama has made it hard to keep track, so bear with me. I'll be of course updating this as I go.

23-31, As Lethe said, combining the merge targets together makes things a lot easier, also when working with one title, it is also easier if you put it in one post (like putting 24-26 in one post, so I know it's all multiple editions of one book and don't do something like combine them all together and then have to unsnarl them again. :)

#38 we don't delete books with valid ISBNs
#39- found the Audible ASIN and added it and the cover. It was a valid book, it was just lacking the proper info
#41 - looks like it's already done (oh derp, yeah Emily got it)

This has been set as the default edition for Lights, Camera, Disaster- However it doesn't have any cover or a proper ISBN. I think some one had added a duplicate of an edition (or may be the person who added this edition forgot to add the required details).

It is better if we could change the default to proper edition, since this confuse the reader

This series has Chapters as well as full volumes, so whilst this edition says chapter in the title, all other information such as cover & page number is for the full volume. This is in French and all isbns/asins for the french editions are already in the database.

Hi Sandra,

Sorry for stepping in but those are not the same editions. Someone changed the page number that’s why the data seemed the same. The edition with chapter 1 in the title is a legit one. It was given by the publishing house when you bought a manga from them. It was in order promote the release of the manga. But normally, there is also a digital version of chapter 1 that was published by them as well.

#94 Hi Andrew, it's good to see you wanting to be helpful but please leave deletions to superlibrarians as the thread title says.

It's not allowed to delete the original record of an ISBN/ASIN and move the identifier to another record. That's why a block is in place and we shouldn't circumvent it. What a super can do is to delete the duplicate record even when it has more than 5 adds. That way we can ensure the ISBN/ASIN stays untouched in its original record.

Yes, technically you can, but one of the main rules in the Librarian Manual is we shouldn't delete valid book data from the database. It's better to post in this thread when a duplicate with 5 or more adds is found, as it makes sure we delete the invalid record instead. It's why this thread exists to begin with. :)

I see a librarian (not a super) NAB'ed the titles. What is the point of that? They don't have ISBNs or ASINs, so they should be downright deleted (NB: by supers!).
