P.S. I have only Hemlock Bay for 6 and because it is 6 in the series. I could read that but we will just get 10 points.

This is where I get confused, the nitty-gritty!
Scoring:
🧛🏻♂️ Each book is worth 10 points.
🧛🏻♂️ If the book is 400 or more pages +5 points
🧛🏻♂️ If the book has a number in the title +5 points
I took it that this meant a 5 point bonus f9r number in the title PLUS a 5 point bonus for more than 400 pages. I this isn't the case I might as well choose shorter books and read more of them 😉
Will I ask the question on the appropriate thread?
P.S. thanks for the tip on the missing numbers 😀

The 7th Victim -you can add "8" for year of publication
No Second Chance -3 from page number
14 - not sure about bonus, it isn't less than 10? Great book though!
Eight Days To Live - 6 from page number.
Jeez, this is harder than it sounds!

BTW I think I will copy the way you lay out your bonus points, at least til we reach consensus.
Margo wrote: "Will I ask the question on the appropriate thread?"No need, you were right. Tricia pointed the same thing as you to me, and I realised my mistake.

I am happy to read any of these books so slot me in wherever is best to fill the gaps.
You can put me down for possibly reading Power of Three, which Rusulka has on her list. I ordered it from the library.
Re Power of Three, just ordered the Kindle book so I will definitely be able to read it for the Toppler.
Sorry for the many posts. I was reading the rules again. A book with any number in title gets 5 bonus points. That's even if the number is 10 or larger. So, all my possible books get bonus points, for example. I've updated my original post showing bonus points, plus Power of Three.
Me again... lol... I'm procrastinating other things, so my mind is wandering around...So, the title I dreamt and then forgot was "We're Down 4 the Count!" I knew it would resurface in my feeble brain just when I didn't need it!
Ok... I DO have something I'm in the middle of reading. Back to that!
Hey all, busy day today. Not been home since 9am this morning and it's now midnight. Will catch up on everything tomorrow, update the spreadsheet and start allocating books to tasks.

Fixed, thanks Margo.

I like that name, Debra!
Rusalka wrote: "Lisa wrote: " Espresso Tales"You could count that one for 4 as well, due to the 44 Scotland Street series."
Did I forget to put that in? That's what comes when you are trying to rush your post in case your internet has a tantrum again! 😉😁. I will update my post.
Lynn wrote: "Hey all, busy day today. Not been home since 9am this morning and it's now midnight. Will catch up on everything tomorrow, update the spreadsheet and start allocating books to tasks."Have a good rest Lynn! You need to save your strength - til Saturday LOL
Debra wrote: "lol thanks. Margo. Maybe enough will like it and agree to a change."All in favour of changing team name to "We're Down 4 the Count!" say aye!
….and then ask Rusalka very nicely if she wouldn't mind changing it - pretty please ;-)
It doesn’t matter to me, but I thought down for the count meant that someone was in the process of being knocked out. I could be wrong though. Or else my family just watches too much rough sports. LOL
LOL Tricia, I'm not a sports fan so that didn't occur to me! I can see your point, althogh I took it in a "down with the kids" kind of way.
What if we called the team "We're Getting Down 4 the Count?" Or just "Getting Down 4 the Count?" I think that would fix the interpretation problem.
I've added a new book to my post #3 which I'd really like to read next week because it's my favorite genre, horror. The Eleventh Floor
304 pages
Published 9/23/17
Series # 2
Audible listening time 9 hours, 8 minutes
Numbers can use 2, 4, 7, 8, 9
Bonus number in title 5 points
Lynn wrote: "Debra, where did you get the 2 from?"Ooops, it's series #2. Fixed both posts. Sorry about that!
LOL it’s totally fine with me either way. I just thought it was funny how many different interpretations there could be for just a couple of words.
Ok, it looks like I’m starting with The 7th Victim according to the sheet. Just confirming. Then once/if I finish that I will be told which is next of my suggested?? ;)
I won't put you down for any more Jannene, as you've suggested that more than one might not happen. So we'll wait to see what happens and if you can read another we'll see what fits at the time. BTW - If you wanted a different book as your read say now, while I'm still working things out.

I am good, just clarifying so I can get the book.
So I've updated the spreadsheet, and we have two rounds filled. Round 3 will have to be decided once we get into the reading week. Of course, if anyone can see a better way of doing things please let me know your thoughts.
Off to bed now ....
I forgot to choose an audiobook. I’ll read AutumnSeasonal #1
Hardcover 264 pages
Audio published Feb 7, 2017
Audio 5 hrs, 28 min
(1, 2, 4, 5, 7)
Excellent job Lynn, I don't know how you kept all those numbers straight! Once I've looked at a few they all start to blur together o_O
Lynn, I missed this on my shelf.book name: Year One,(+5)
No. of pages: 410 (+5)
pub date: 5/12/17
first published: n/a
series: 1
if audio, add length: 12 hrs and 20 min
fits numbers: 1, 5, 7
Points: 20
I don't mind which books I read out of the ones I have listed. I can comfortable to 4 x 400 page books next week. I can't wait to get started :-)
