Leviathan. Political theory from the seventeenth century. Fascinating if dense.

So I just finished another L. Ron Hubbard sci-fi book. He was quite the writer. I am still reading his Mission Earth Series and only have 1 more book to go (Vol. 10). I am just over halfway through Anne Rice's Cry to Heaven and have enjoyed it so far. I am still reading Stephen King's Final Watch and The Bazaar of Bad Dreams and started Ann Rule's Lying in Wait book. Also still listening to Drunken Fireworks, a Stephen King audio book.
I just finished The Hating Game, by Sally Thorne. So good! You can read my thoughts about it in my blog.
I am reading several at once which seems to be my new pattern. The one I enjoy the most is The One and Ony Ivan. I could read it faster, but Imthink it needs time for thought.
Deborah wrote: "I am reading several at once which seems to be my new pattern. The one I enjoy the most is The One and Ony Ivan. I could read it faster, but Imthink it needs time for thought."I recently read The One and Only Ivan. A bit depressing, but such a good book!
I've just read (for the several-th time) Lords and Ladies. I defy anybody not to gain comfort in this hard old world in the company of the witches.Nanny Ogg is my hero....
Lords and Ladies
I just started The Wolf at Twilight: An Indian Elder's Journey through a Land of Ghosts and Shadows which will be something different for me though I do have an interest in things Native American.
Here’s what I’ve read since my last update:
The Jack Russell Adventures (Book 4): The Challenge by Jackie Small
The Jack Russell Adventures (Book 5): The Play by Jackie Small
The Princelings of the East by Jemima Pett
The Princelings and the Pirates by Jemima Pett
The Princelings and the Lost City by Jemima Pett
Cranford by Elizabeth Gaskell
A New Beginning by Nicole Moore
Kick On! by Nicole Moore
I just finished reading The Kite Runner! Awesome book and recommend you all read it if you're looking for a gripping book :)-Nihar

I just finished reading "Blood Song" by Cat Adams and now I'm reading "Witches of Eastend" by Melissa De La Cruz
I've finished Genghis: Lords of the Bow (the second novel in the Conqueror Series by Conn Iggulden), and I've started The Masterpiece of the Rougon-Macquart series by Émile Zola.
Alice, I've read the Conqueror Series, too, and thoroughly enjoyed the books.I'm currently reading Shadow Stalker book 2 by Renee Scattergood. It's dark fantasy and an excellent read.
I just finished Libba Bray's Lair of Dreams and just picked up Magic Hunter by C.N. Crawford. I loved Lair of Dreams (part of The Diviners series).
I just finished reading Ghost Hand by Ripley Patton and I loved it!! Now I'm reading Orpheum by D.S. Murphy
Almost finished with The Wolf at Twilight: An Indian Elder's Journey through a Land of Ghosts and Shadows and it has been a stark reminder of the horror Native Americans have suffered at the hands of our government, for which we should feel responsible. Based on what is going on even now it seems like this hasn't stopped.
Started reading this a few days ago. Since it has about 1200 pages, it'll take me a few more days to finish, lol.
Just read The Antipodes, which has an interesting and witty premise but unfortunately I found I had to make an effort to finish it. Three stars. I preferred The Knight of the Burning Pestle, which also has a play within a play.
Read book 1 of Robin Hobb's Tawny Man trilogy - Fool's Errand. Enjoyed it although it was sad towards the ending. A bit shorter than some of hers at 'only' 661 pages.
This is a murder mystery mixed with humour & a dash of chicklit.

Read book 2 of Robin Hobb's Tawny man trilogy - The Golden Fool which lost my interest in places as it was typical of book 2 syndrome where it is more about setting up book 3 than telling a well plotted story.
I am slowly working my way thru Dawn's Light by Terri Blackstock (mainly because I read it at night) and The Way by Guy Stanton III (during the day, at work on my breaks and before I have to clock in for the day).
nothing right now just finished some book read 4 last week and reviewed them and now I'm in limbo , book limbo that is ....
I've just finished My Sister's Keeper. If a book can be good and horible at the same time, this book managed it. It's certainly a story that will stay with you.
Finished book 3 in Robin Hobb's Tawny Man trilogy, Fool's Fate and book 5 of the five book first Amber series, The Courts of Chaos.
I keep forgetting to come in here and post what I've read. So, here's a link to my October book reviews post on my blog:http://ziglernews.blogspot.co.uk/2016...
Finished the latest installment in the Cotswolds cosy crime series by Rebecca Tope, Guilt in the Cotswolds and a book for family historians, My Ancestor was in the British Army.
