Review:
Lately these Sigma Force books have become sort of a guilty pleasure. It's always nice to read something different than what I normally read just to keep my normal fantasy or romance books from becoming too stale or repetitive.
This latest installment once again is an action packed adventure, with the mystery revolving around the development of a true AI system and various groups trying to get their hands on it. The stakes are higher with one group kidnapping Seichan and Monk's children, the villains are badder, including one in particular who feels no pain. Yea, try fighting someone like that! And one POV in particular really was fascinating - that of the AI Eve.
I love how much research the author puts into these books. He does pull a lot of aspects from reality, but there is also a sense of fantasy to it as well. Like the whole finger being thrust into the past. I admit that it does lose me at times with the science jargon but regardless, I devour these books. They are a lot of fun!
I've only read a couple in this series but I plan to go back and read all the ones I've missed as soon as I can. And I'll definitely continue when the author comes out with more.

Review: This was my one permitted challenge re-read. It has been quite a few years since I read this book, and after I was done, I heard that the audio version was excellent, so this time I did it that way. I'm really not sure what format I liked morel The audio was fun - it has a full cast and the voice acting is really good - it was engrossing. But I did miss all the unique page layouts and stuff in the print version.
This is the way YA should be - what a great plot with "zombies", AI, and lots of heroic actions. I enjoyed it a lot - and I hope to listen to the other two soon (I have read them previously also).
I had this crazy hope that Archangel's War would be on military shelf. It's not, but there are several shelves that sound like it, like military-war heros. So close!
Nici, if you wanted to read Archangel's War you could use the Alternative option - highly anticipated 2019 book :)

Sandra & Steph, I love how positive and helpful you are with all the teams. Thank you! It is one of the reasons I enjoy Bingo so much!
I will read Spinning Silver for the spin-offs shelf. I know its on the linked list, but I'll need to go back and recheck where/what #. But it's a book I've kept meaning to read, so what a great excuse to get to it!
