Review:
This series never disappoints. Mercy and Jesse are out Black Friday shopping when the werewolf pack is kidnapped. Mercy is frantic to find Adam and the pack. They are in an accident and they go back to her shop and find out what had happened. This was a very interesting read dealt with vampire politics. I think everyone was in this story other than Samuel. Interesting twist with a Zombie Fae Assassion and some cool vampire powers that are now hopefully destroyed.

Review: I really like Atticus and I love Oberon, but they seem to be surrounded by terrible people. Even the ones who are supposedly on their side. I enjoyed this book, slightly less than the first one, but still a good read. Interesting ideas, interesting storylines, interesting bad guys. An excellent reason to consider atheism though. :D The gods suck so hard.

I want to say Frost Burned was one of my faves of the series, but I love them all. And I swear they get even better with each instalment :)

I keep meaning to read this series. In fact, I got book one from the library multiple times to read for an SOS shelf, including this week to read for immortals but keep picking up something else instead!

I am entering bake sale season and always looking for new Christmas baking ideas. Anyone have a favourite to suggest?

A discovery of witches? No, it doesn't get better... I liked it well enough, in that it kept me entertained and interested in what was happening - though a lot of that was the audio narration. But it was also really boring and I hated the MC.
I also felt like half of the (long) book was taken up describing Diana doing yoga, sleeping, reading, etc, etc - I honestly can't remember what she actually did
From what I remember the book did pick up a bit later on because I am interested in continuing on with the series, but I'm not exactly in a rush to do so

So far she also cries a lot and goes into shock.

I looked up my rating/review and I'm surprised I gave it 3 stars since most of what I can remember is negative. But there must have been something about it I liked

I don't recommend this for a bake sale, but the first thing I think of when it comes to holiday desserts is this:
https://www.bonappetit.com/recipe/spi...

I've made it a surprising 4 times and it is amazing, but a huge ordeal. Can't think of any bake sale suggests at the moment though

Sorry about not being around yesterday. Had a work crisis to deal with. Ill get caught up on everything.

I have been to read this series as well.. right up my alley....

I read this when it first came out.
Here is from my review at that time.
It sounded like it would be one of those books that I would say for the rest of my life: "That was one of the best books I've ever read." It was so hyped up to be about magic and a world filled with other-worldly creatures.
It started out promising and had a few parts in the middle and end that were also intriguing. However, when I finished the book, I put it down and said "Wow, NOTHING happened." Quite literally nothing happened.

I looked up my rating/review and I'm surprised I gave it 3 stars since most of what I can remember is negative. But there must have been something about it I liked"
i cant remember what my stars were but I do have it scheduled to do a re read...

I love making the Paula Dean Velveeta Cheese fudge...I also do the Paula Dean Gingerbread Trifle.

I'm nearly done with my immortal book, will probably finish tomorrow.

Norse Mythology by Neil Gaiman
Read: 23 Nov
Rating: 4 stars
Review:
I love both mythology and Neil Gaiman so this was a sure win for me. I didn't know much about Norse mythology other than what I previously read from Gaiman and of course the Marvel movies and loved learning more.
I only regret I didn't listen to the audiobook. The reading experience was great, but it's one of those books that would be better told than read.

So.... I read about 4 pages before deciding I wanted an audio book to listen to. But, since my library didn't have it for Hounded I switched to Foxglove Summer.
Eventually I'll read Hounded, if only so I'll stop checking it out from the library so often xD

A Discovery of Witches by Deborah Harkness

Review: Almost 600 pages and nothing happened. This wasn't a book about magic or witches or vampires or anything interesting. This was a very mild romance where I didn't feel anything for either party. Meh!

Good Job!! :D

But if Series is called next week we could be reading for the win...providing we have Military & Fae are completed...

Mine as well....was hoping the next mercy would work but nope :(

And it figures that one of the books I've been reading this week fits for Military - if only I'd waited a few days to start :(
I think for military I'll either read

Shelf #10: Fae
Night Broken by Patricia Briggs
Read: Nov 27/19
Rating: 4.5 stars
Review: I know I will be sad once I get caught up in the series and if she stops adding to it...This story was about a volcano god from the Canary Islands who thought that Adam's ex wife Christy was his intended. Great mythology of the Canary Islands and more with Coyote. We get introduced to Mercy's half brother Gary Laughing Dog. I really like how not always does the fight has to be so bloody and destructive, it can be ended by outsmarting the enemy.

I am Canadian so we had our thanksgiving when Americans have Columbus Day. My Dad was American and we always celebrated American Thanksgiving...he always said another good reason to have Turkey and Pie...
Where I live there are a bunch of Americans and they take Thursday and Friday off....I know a bunch of Canadians who took yesterday to watch NFL games...

Also Canadian. My parents were both American, but we never celebrated either holiday as kids. Canadian Thanksgiving we went to our dentist, who was over the border in Minnesota. American Thanksgiving was too close to Christmas and nobody liked turkey enough to want it twice in a month. :D But pie, yes. And football.

I am American, but I actually live in England so didn't even celebrate it this year xD
Also, I'm way too tired to write the review for my fav book, but swear I'll get it done tomorrow

Foxglove Summer by Ben Aaronovitch
Read: 27 Nov
Rating: 4 stars
Review:
A great edition to the series. Peter is out of London and on his own (mostly) in this edition as he investigates the disappearance of two girls in the countryside. I originally gave this 3 stars because I felt the book was lacking with the absence of Nightingale, Lesley, Molly and the London backdrop. But in retrospect I really enjoyed getting Peter more or less on his own and in a different environment. His character is developing really well and needed the escape after the events of the last book. We also got more of Beverly in this as she joined Peter in countryside as backup. I love her character and can't wait to read more of her. (minor)(view spoiler) . I also really liked the mystery and investigation.
This was the first one where I listened to the audiobook and I loved the narration.["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>

I'm really sorry I'm so behind, I almost never take this long. And I have to review my FAE book someday too. I suck! Just a little bit. :D
