Danielle (thatcrazymama) Anita - I just finished reading Can You Keep a Secret? by Sophie Kinsella today and I loved it, I will have to agree with you, it was a fun read.

Now we started discussing I've Got Your Number by Sophie Kinsella in the thread, but would you be okay with starting Dec. 6th?

Cynthia (cynthiab) Becky ♡The Bookworm♡ , I'll read The Lewis Man (Lewis Trilogy, #2) by Peter May with you. I just got that and The Blackhouse (Lewis Trilogy, #1) by Peter May from the library.

Did you read the first one? Do I need to read that one first?

Cynthia (cynthiab) My library doesn't carry Johnny Cash The Life by Robert Hilburn , but I just found out I can check out and download whole albums.

So Cool! I grew up listening to that album, we had almost every album that he produced. I remember playing them over and over again. Btw, if you do happen to find the book somewhere, will you join us in reading it? It is an awesome read, I am enjoying it so much. :)

The First Discworld Novels The Colour of Magic and the Light Fantastic by Terry Pratchett

So, I've been dying to take on the challenge of reading all of the Discworld series. I'm talking books, short stories, YA novels, all of it. I found a reading guide because I heard that you don't want to necessarily read them in the order they were written. I made a subsequent list from this reading guide to show which books I am going to read one right after the other.

My question is....does anyone want to join me in this huge quest? It sure would get you a lot of Tower Teams Points ;) We wouldn't have to go fast, either. If so, I would like to start in the middle of December...thinking December 20th.

You guys have no idea how excited I am :)

MODS- Can we please have a December 20th Discworld series read set up?

message 885: by [deleted user] (new)

Also, I am currently reading The Clash of Kings. I see that it's already been opened up for buddy read twice, and I was wondering if someone wanted to resurrect it with me and then continue on in the series. I already read The Game of Thrones and don't want to re-read it, so I would start from the second book and go on. Basically, I would want to start the buddy read almost immediately, or start on the third Book of the series again sometime in mid-December or end of December...maybe December 27th.

Clarification = Looking to read either

Read Clash of Kings onward starting November 10th-17th
Read A Storm of Swords onward starting December 27th

Takers?

❤Stephanie ღ♥ღMrs Daryl Dixonღ♥ღ | 2613 comments I might be interested in reading Clash of Kings, I would say i'm a pretty fast reader but the first book took me 2 weeks to finish it because it's such a big book and I needed to read something else while i was reading it, I did read the first 100 pages of Clash of Kings nearly a year ago and i put it down for a break and haven't picked it back up yet so I would need to read that again. Does it matter how long it takes me to read it?

No, not at all. I usually listen to the audiobooks in concordance with the paperbacks (I try to put longer series reads on audiobooks so that I will want to exercise for long periods of time). And the audiobooks take FOREVER sometimes. So, really, it doesn't have to go fast at all for me. Do you want to have a start date around the 17th? Or would you want to start later?

message 888: by Greta (new)

Greta | 1459 comments Taryn, you read too many good books :-) I am considering both of your last requests...I also started a reread of ACOK but didn't make it all the way through. I'd love to make it work but have to look at all my other books first.

I've got another buddy read that starts on the 17th, how about the 19th?

message 890: by Cynthia (new)

Cynthia (cynthiab) I've been in the middle of A Storm of Swords (A Song of Ice and Fire, #3) by George R.R. Martin for a long time. Like, before the miniseries started.

So yes, I' would love the read the 3rd one with someone to that I finish it some time this decade.

I'll have to see when you start up on A Storm of Swords and decide then.
