Would this quote work for the cover bonus? "His face was in shadow; the courtyard below him was illuminated only by moonlight."
Holli wrote: "There is a special edition of the Moon Landing album, the Apollo Edition. Is this cover also usable for anything on it for the bonus point, or just the original one? I found it by way of an image s..."Sorry, only the regular edition.
Lauren wrote: "Would this quote work for the cover bonus? "His face was in shadow; the courtyard below him was illuminated only by moonlight.""It works, we'll need page number or % to verify.
Gisela wrote: "Holli wrote: "There is a special edition of the Moon Landing album, the Apollo Edition. Is this cover also usable for anything on it for the bonus point, or just the original one? I found it by way..."That's what I figured. I just make sure. Thank you.
Morning Mods!I'm working on my team's spreadsheet and need clarification on the bonus points. The author's name is on the cover, so if we're using a book with a character name of James will that count?
Mary: paperbackswap refuge wrote: "Is there anywhere to see the current points standings?"Mary: PBSR, here is the spreadsheet link.
Also, whenever we confirm that your points have been double-checked, as in the "♬ Hey, Ms. DJ" thread, Post #43, we also provide the spreadsheet link.

This post might answer your question.
Yes, I've seen that post. I'm asking for clarification because of the wording in THIS post. Specifically: "To earn an extra individual point for that week, find something on the album cover that connects with your book. [emphasis added] It could be a word, or an item on the album cover and the bookcover. If it is a word, post the page number/ ebook location along with the quote, at the bottom of your review."
My question is: Are we excluding the artist's name, but not the album name?

The author's name counts only for the name category not the bonus point. Hope that helps.

I have to check with the other mods.
Gisela wrote: "The author's name counts only for the name category not the bonus point. Hope that helps."Yes. That answers my question. Thank you!
Okay...one more question. Not trying to be a PITA. I found a phrase in my book that includes the word "moonlighting". Will that work for a bonus point?
As it is in everybody's best interests the mods will you give a cheat sheet every week. Week #3 song post was updated with the cheat sheet .
I forget, with songs performed by a band but not written buy them, the band member names also count right? Just thinking of the Aerosmith song.
Mary: paperbackswap refuge wrote: "I forget, with songs performed by a band but not written buy them, the band member names also count right? Just thinking of the Aerosmith song."Yes
Hey Mods!Sorry if this has been answered a million times, but I forget. *sigh*
Will you accept "Adams" for "Adam" and/or "St. John" (a last name) for "John"?
I'm thinking no on "John," but I couldn't remember if the "Adam/Adams" was allowed before. Thanks so much!
Sorry to pester, I'm looking at my options for the week... I know a couple of weeks ago you mentioned that names where spelling was different but sounded the same were accepted. Would you take Stephen or Stephens if the Aerosmith song gets chosen? this week?
For the publication years, are we using the year the single was released or the year the album containing the single was released?
ilovebakedgoods (Teresa) wrote: "For the publication years, are we using the year the single was released or the year the album containing the single was released?"The year the single was released.
I'm thinking that there is someone on goodreads using the shelf "Minnesota" to designate where they read the book or keep it or something. Because there's lots of books on it that seem to have nothing to do with Minnesota. Just an observation. But I'm thinking that Napoleon Bonaparte probably never went to Minnesota.
Mary: paperbackswap refuge wrote: "I'm thinking that there is someone on goodreads using the shelf "Minnesota" to designate where they read the book or keep it or something. Because there's lots of books on it that seem to have noth..."Could be, I'll check.
I just think it's funny. I was scrolling through to see if anything on one of my shelves was on there. Did you miss my question about a last name of Bradley counting for Brad?
Mary: paperbackswap refuge wrote: "Last name of Bradley count for Brad?"No, sorry. We're allowing Thomas because Tom Hamilton's birth name is Thomas. Stephen we're allowing because it's a spelling variation, the name still sounds the same.
