Sorry, Mary for the late answer! The mods went dancing last night ! Charley is good for Charlie, they're pronounced the same.
As for the plot, having Satan's son in the story isn't enough. If you can come up with a plot that connects the book to the lyrics, you'll get points for the plot.
Mods...I better check this just in case. For the Charlie Daniels song...I'm looking at Gunmetal Magic. My question is regarding the plot. The song says: "Hell's broke loose in Georgia." When magic descends on Atlanta, all sorts of dangerous creatures gain power in the streets. Will this work? Or do you need more?

We'll allow it.

Nicholas is author, so that's out.
Thanks

Great. Thank you Dancing Queen!!
Becky ♡The Bookworm♡ wrote: "Good morning, Mods! Will you accept "Johnson" for "John" or am I getting desperate? ; )"Sorry, gone all day Becky. I put it on our list of questions for the Mods to discuss.
hello sir, Can we take names of band members rather than the name of the band?
Poison & Wine" - Civil Wars (2009)
Civil Wars members names
Joy Elizabeth Williams
John Paul White
Not quite sure I understand your question, Anjali. However, for Name = 5 points, Joy, Williams, John, Paul, or White are all fine for ♬ "Poison & Wine."

Becky ♡The Bookworm♡ wrote: "Good morning, Mods! Will you accept "Johnson" for "John" or am I getting desperate? ; )"Becky, which song are you talking? (Just being double sure.)
It's also the Civil Wars, using John Paul White. I have a book with an author Johnson and wonder if that would be allowed for singer John. I have a backup book if it won't, but I wanted to double check.
Um, question? When should we expect the Week 3 song up? I just checked the Now Playing thread, and the song still isn't up. I'm only asking because that thread stated that the songs would be up on Sunday mornings and it seems to be going up on Sunday afternoons instead.

So, 7:00 a.m. for them is afternoon in U.S.
So what are we going for as far as plot here? Just road trip or bikers? Would a book set in Wyoming about a sheriff count for setting and plot?or what about a wedding?

What's the book you have in mind , Mary ?
I put this cover up because it has mountains, a scenic roads and trees kind of like the scenic route in the video if the plot doesn't work.
plot: Walt tracks transports some convicts and then tracks them when they escape. Sort of like a road trip.
I'm reading that one now Mary. They are in the mountains in Wyoming, tracking escaped convicts through a snowstorm...does that help?
For this week's song, since you only have "bonus album/cover" listed and not "name", does that mean we do not get to consider the author/character names this time? And what exactly do we use for album title/cover? If the singer's name is on the album cover, do I then get to consider an author/character that shares his name (assuming "name" is not a choice this time)?
I assume since this week's cover is black surrounding a man's face close-up, a black cover would work? Maybe with a face, as well?
Here... let me just ask if either of these works for this round, haha:
- by James Patterson (black cover to go with album cover? or author's name if we can use name?)
by James Patterson(Black cover to go with album cover? Or author's name to go with either singer's name or name of singer on album cover? /setting: published 2013. I know it works for setting, it's the others I'm unsure of)
Thanks!
This week didn't provide the cheat sheet . You have to come up with cover ,names, title and plot connections on your own. I'll refer you to the Rules , I think they will answer your questions. Let me know if they don't .
10. Bonus Album Title or Item Points:
(1 point per player)
Instead of an occasional “bonus word,” some weeks (4 total), we will include an album cover connection. To earn an extra individual point for that week, find something on the album cover that connects with your book. It could be a word, or an item on the album cover and the bookcover. If it is a word, post the page number/ ebook location along with the quote, at the bottom of your review. If it is an item, be sure to explain.
Here is the points for your books , Teresa :
counts for the name and setting and bonus point (black cover with a face on it ).
just the name
Mary: paperbackswap refuge wrote: "So can the title have Bonfire or Hearts or does it have to have both?"Both or one will get you the points for title .
Okay, gotcha, thanks! I forgot to re-read the rules for that bonus album cover thing. My browser keeps freezing up and it's irritating, grr.
The ways you can get the bonus point :1- Picture of moon on cover
2- The word "moon" on the cover
3- A black cover and a face
4- Somewhere in the book there is scene like : "it was dark the only thing she could see was his face "
5- words "moon landing" in the text of book
Does this give cover points? Looks like a road going through town to me and there's a lot of traveling on a road in the video:
