Dance Party Round III

R3: ♬ 1, 2, 3 Step or HOW TO PLAY
Hi Margaret, the mods are still deciding on the posting time. We are aware that not all the players are in the US and trying to choose a time that's fair to everyone.
Dancing Queen will post, in every Team thread, a hyperlink to the song details when the song is announced.Margaret, hopefully, this should help alleviate your worries. Later, say on Monday, you can make sure everyone is on track for finding their book.
Book has to be started reading after song is called? Or are you looking only at finished date? What if I read a book I started months ago but never got to far (I think I'm stuck at chapter 3 :P) and what to use that one? Should I reread that first part?
❀Tea❀ wrote: "Book has to be started reading after song is called? Or are you looking only at finished date?"I believe we are having you start a book today. However, let me check with the other Mods, some of who aren't up yet. ☺
Dancing Queen wrote: "I believe we are having you start a book today. However, let me check with the other ..."No need to wake them up. I'm sure we can come to some sort of agreement :P
As I said I can always reread that first part.
But I'll probably be looking for something else. If I didn't read it so far, I'm sure I won't read it now. :) This is only a backup.
Mods, just a heads up: the cheat sheet has Angels spelled incorrectly in the Title portion. It says Angles, not Angels and could be confusing to folks!
Morning Mods!Quick question. Would "Nora Roberts" and the character "Robert" be a match? I'm thinking no since it isn't exact, but thought I'd check.
Am I understanding correctly that each team member can only choose 2 categories from which to get points even if the book matches more than 2?

Thanks :0)

Becky ♡The Bookworm♡ wrote: "Quick question. Would "Nora Roberts" and the character "Robert" be a match? I'm thinking no since it isn't exact, but thought I'd check."We will allow "Roberts" for Robert and "William" for Williams for Names; however, for Title it has to match exactly ("Angels").
FYI: We edited the Song of the Week Cheat Sheet to reflect this about "Roberts" and "William."

Ah...wonderful! Thank you!
DQ could you check my post HERE? I'm having doubts about my setting criteria. No rush!

Becky ♡The Bookworm♡ wrote: "DQ could you check my post HERE? I'm having doubts about my setting criteria. No rush!""Title" works; however, I'd have to discuss "Setting" with the other Mods.
Dancing Queen wrote: "FYI, Becky ♡The Bookworm♡, "Roberts" works on that one for "Names.""Okay. Since the setting is worth more points can you let me know what the mods decide? I'll go with the Names if the Setting doesn't work. Thanks so much for looking at it for me! : )
About plot... does it have to be ghost? I have a book where guy comes back as an angel to help others (not loved ones)And setting: how long does book need to take place there. I'm pretty sure that few chapters takes place in heaven (but only few chapters)

We have it "open", as LK says, as soon as we have an answer we'll let you know.
❀Tea❀ wrote: "About plot... does it have to be ghost? I have a book where guy comes back as an angel to help others (not loved ones)..."We will allow a ghost (a loved one or not) who comes back to help someone out.
❀Tea❀ wrote: "And setting: how long does book need to take place there."At least two chapters, preferably first and last.
Thanks. I figured you'd have less work with that one then with Feel. ☺No problem about the book. It still brings something, just not that much.

Yes, that's perfect!! I just didn't want my team to be disadvantaged. But that solves the problem nicely. Thank you.

Lifted Up by Angels by Lurlene McDanielLifted Up by Angels
Title = word “Angels” in title or series name (not angel or angelic ) - (4 points)
Setting = 1997 or heaven or beach in England - (6 points)
I am already reading this book on chapter2
I need someones guidance please
Is my point system and book right ?
"Anjali wrote: "Does any one know can we use word Devil's instead of Devil?""We will allow either spelling.
Chris wrote: "Does James work for Jimmy or other derivatives?"Jimmy Buffet full name is "James William Buffett" . You'll get name points for Jimmy ,James ,William and Buffet but not for Jim (Unless they call him Jim when the character's name is James and it is mentioned at least once in the book ).
ShoSho wrote: "Jimmy Buffet full name is "James William Buffett" . You'll get name points for Jimmy ,James ,William and Buffet but not for Jim (Unless they call him Jim when the character's name is James and it is mentioned at least once in the book )."Yeah! This helps a lot! Thanks, ShoSho!

Jessi, can this name be allowed?"
Since they are pronounced the same, we will accept it, Anjali.
So does name have to match gender? Just thinking that this would be good for Devil Went Down To Georgia:
: lead character: Charlie Davidson
male lead is the son of satan, aka the devil

Ummm...would it be possible to have an exact or even approximate time? I hate to cause trouble but I live in Australia and as I am captain of a team, I want to make sure I log into Goodreads close to the time the song is announced, so I can advise everyone and help out with choices etc if needed.
FYI - time difference between where I am and New York City is 15 hours 30 minutes (ahead). So the song is most likely to be announced some time on Monday morning my time. For example, if the song is announced at 9:00am New York time, that will be 12:30am Monday morning my time.
So, could I please ask for the song to be announced on a Sunday evening after 6pm New York time. That will make it 9:30am Monday here, and I can check Goodreads when I get to work in the morning :)
