Bloody Jack by L. A. Meyer, The Emerald Atlas by John Stephens, The Best Christmas Pageant Ever, Think Like A Freak --genres that I am trying out/exploring.
Currently I'm reading The Word by Irving WallaceIrving Wallace. It's about the discovery of a new gospel and the effort to publish a new Bible containing same.
Okay, I take that back. While she was a good writer at one time, the ones I purchased just made me toss it across the room.
I'm currently reading The power of now by Eckhart Tolle. If you are into spiritual enlightenment this is the book for you! If you enjoy Suspense Romance novels read my new book, My Life For Revenge it has been nominated for a award in the genre of Suspense! Get it here: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1519...
I am reading a graphic novella called 'Anatomy of The Deep Inside' by Kaustav Dasgupta. It is a very short graphic novel and very much interesting to read. Really deep in words and emotions. Accompanying graphics and images are also equally sensitive. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Anatomy-Deep-...
I have a number of books going at the moment. Presently concentrating on two of them in particular, though. The Passage by Justin Cronin and Outlander by Diana Gabaldon.
P.s. who else has heard of and/or actively participating in the PopSugar Reading Challenge 2016?
I could really use suggestions for a book where the protagonist is a Clerk or office administration assistant and for a book that is a romance set in the future - Thanks :)
I just started The Ice Queen by Alice Hoffman. I am slowly integrating into reading for fun. This seemed like a good one to continue with.
So this week...Still reading "The Passage" by Justin Cronin and "Outlander (Cross Stitch)" by Diana Gabaldon. Re-reading Pride & Prejudice and in lieu or the recent release of "Night Study" by Maria V. Snyder, I'm also re-reading "Shadow Study", the previous volume in the same series.
Dena (Batch of Books) wrote: "I'm reading Assassin's Masque by Sarah Zettel. It's a YA spy novel set during the 1700s. So fun!"I've not really kept up with Sarah Zettle post the Camelot Series and Isavalta Trilogy, which I wouldn't categorise as YA reading. How would you rate this book?
Since I last wrote on this wall, I've finished both Shadow Study and Night Study by Tamora Pierce and the complete Julliette Chronicles by Tahereh Mafi - Shatter Me, Unravel Me & Ignite Me.Still reading: The Passage by Justin Cronin, Cross Stitch by Diana Gabaldon. The Hound of Death and Other Stories by Agatha Christie (a collection of short sotries)
Since last time I commented here I've read Sputnik Sweetheart and now I'm still finishing The First Man in Rome but I also started The Metal Smile
Just started A Crown for Cold Silver by Alex Marshall and The Sword of Shannara by Terry Brooks, and am still making my way through Outlander; the Passage and The Hound of Death short story collection.
Right now I'm reading Sheila's Passion by Lora Leigh. I'm also reading Love Thyself by Layla Stevens.

I am trying to read as much as I could. Right now I'm all broken after a surgery so I'm working back and forth on kindle and novel to read. So far I'm already up to 8 or so books. I'm hoping to make it to 10 this month, if not more
I finished American Gods last night, and highly recommend it for anyone looking for a deep, dark, soulful, well-written novel. And I mean novel, not book. Not many books I've read lately can, in good conscience, be called novels in the strictest sense of the word -- especially not novels that are so well-sculpted. American Gods is easily among the best three novels I've read in the past decade, or more. It's no wonder it won so many awards (including the Stoker, for those of you who read a lot of horror etc). My only (very minor) complaint is (view spoiler). By the way, I'm glad I read the 2013 edition; after much contemplation, the author went back and rewrote large sections of it, added bits in and took bits out, and says this is the edition of which he is most proud. He seems to be quite a deep thinker, and I trust his judgement. Oh, there's also an "American Gods novella" tacked on to the end of this particular edition of the book, in the appendix -- and honestly, it's more like an epilogue than a completely separate tale. The novella is a continuation of the story that is more than worth a read.
I cannot praise American Gods highly enough. Truly. What a refreshing gem.
Hmmm... what am I reading now? I started reading The Martian last night, in part because we were given a copy of the movie and I want to read the book first, but it's such a drastic gear change from the masterpiece I just finished reading that... well, I dunno, the whiplash might be too intense. I guess I'll see how it goes. 'Not sure what I have on my shelves that can follow American Gods.
I'm currently reading Frankenstein by Mary Shelley - can't believe it took me so long to actually read this book :) - and Boy's Life by Robert McCammon - an amazing coming-of-age story. And listening to The Terror by Dan Simmons.
Danielle Marie wrote: "I just finished Lady Midnight! Now I am reading A Mad Zombie Party by Gena Showalter!"I am interested in the Zombie Alice books I love Alice in Wonderland and some of my favorite books are retelling's of it cant wait to see what you rate it!
