I completed Allegiant yesterday. Now I'm reading Gone With the Wind. I loved the movie but for some reason I always avoided the book. It's very engaging but it's a heavy read. I've read 490 pages but I won't be able to complete it before Wednesday, I suppose. After that, I'll read Digital Fortress by Dan Brown. I think I'll complete that this week as well, even though I have a Chemistry test on Friday (who cares, though!)
Gone Girl. Watched the film yesterday. Loved it. Starting this book today. Apparently it has a different ending from the film. Totally looking forward to that.
Just finished sinfully cursed, and I loved it! I'm a sucker for urban fantasy, paranormal romance, shapeshifters and vampires!! Currently reading werelords # 5
I'm almost near to the end of Love, Rosie by Cecelia Ahern. Can't wait to finish the book! It's pretty funny. I'm loving it so far and it's gonna be a movie! ♥
Please read my review on the book The God of Snow Cone Blue and then get a copy to read, it is an Outstanding book and one of only two other books that are truly special to me because of their content. Well, what are you waiting for!
The Zone of Interest by Amis. I have been disappointed by his last few, but am enjoying this so far.
having the worst week ever... internals about to start and i've been banned books(those i want)... :(
Just finished Stephen King's "Full Dark, No Stars" and going to start "The Rosie Project" for my book club.
I'm reading Harry Potter and The Chamber of Secrets, children's fantasy is very soothing when things get crazy
First Night of Summer
Once I started reading this book I was completely captivated from beginning to end and I didn't want to put it down until I finished it.
Fascinating, clever and chilling.
First, I loved that the setting takes place in Ruidoso, New Mexico with such vast, beautiful landscape. Let me preface this review by saying, this novel maybe hard to read in some parts, but it doesn't make it any less brilliant. Filled with heartfelt moments, the first section is devastating as you the reader witness that the lives of these children are brutally cut short. It is amazing how Parham is able to create such intense suspense despite the reader being fully aware of what is going to happen and who the killer is. The story is a disturbing and insightful look into the nature and fragility of the human mind and the compulsion to be violent. The quick, cliffhanger chapters kept my heart racing from beginning to end.
Plan to finish up "The Silkworm" by J.K. Rowling...Oh, sorry, I mean Robert Galbraith :). About halfway through this second installment in the Cormoran Strike series and really enjoying it so far. Strike is shaping up to be a very memorable character. HAPPY HOLIDAYS, All!

Wow, that one is going on my to-read list.

I just finished "Leaving Time", by Jodi Picoult
. I loved this read! Ms. Picoult is an excellent writer, but this book shocked and surprised me, like very few have done in the past.I will say that it is a mystery, but I must not elaborate further, so that I won't spoil it for those who have not read it yet.
I'm a voracious reader, so when I say this book was shocking, and satisfying, I mean it! I can usually guess ending, but not this time. I wasn't even close to figuring it out, and I'm very glad of it! I hate books that I can figure out, before they end.
I highly recommend this book!
I'm reading The Corpse Reader by Antonio Garrido. Despite the title, it's not a horror novel. It's about Ci Song, considered to be the founding father of CSI-style forensic science. It's set in early 14th century China.
Just read A Life Away: Letters From Afghanistan - worth the read. Now about to fill a major gap in my mental bookshelf by reading To Kill a Mockingbird.
I just finished In the Kingdom of Men by Kim Barnes. I eat books, not literally, but figuratively ;), and this novel is one of the best books that I have read in decades! I was drawn in by the cover, but to my huge surprise, the content was outstanding! I will read almost anything, except gushy romance, or slasher books. This was neither. Please look at my short review of this on my page, and then take a look at it on Goodreads. I promise, you will not be disappointed! I enjoyed Ms. Barnes book so much, I am now reading her book, A Country Called Home. If this one is anywhere near as good as the above novel, she will become my 'other' favorite author, next to Carson McCullers.
I'm planning to read The Piper's Son by Melina Marchetta and maybe continue the Outlander Series. I also want to finish Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet AND Wuthering Heights. :)
I'm reading The Hot Rock right now as part of group read. Very funny and interesting. The movie with Robert Redford and George Segal is very good too.
I've recently finished The Last American Vampireby Seth Grahame-Smith. Didn't realize he had a sequel out until I saw it displayed at the library. This was a good book but not quite as good as Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter.I'm currently reading Divergentby Veronica Roth.
I'm reading The Sympathizer by Viet Thanh Nguyen. Great story so far, with a witty and compelling outsider of a main character offering a unique view of American war and culture.
Currently reading
by Stephen King. So far this is a really great book. There is a couple of short stories in this book that are only ok but over all they are all really good. Reminds me of some of his older works. Up next I will be reading
by Dean Koontz and
.

I won a book giveaway and the book is called Kingdom of Darkness, I am reading it now along with First Family by David Baldacci and Clean(Mindspace Investigations #1)by Alex Hughes.
Tomorrow I will be starting The Likeness by Tana French and A Discovery of Witches by Deborah Harkness and just finished [First Family}by David Baldicci
The Innocent by David Baldacci, I enjoy his writing and I plan to continue reading other books in their series.
I'm reading "Peachtree Road" by Anne Rivers Siddons. It's a 797 page book set in Atlanta that Pat Conroy calls "The Southern novel for our generation." It's first person narrative written in exquisite language. Review to come once I finish.
Amilesor wrote: "The Innocent by David Baldacci, I enjoy his writing and I plan to continue reading other books in their series."I love David Baldacci, and will probably start this series also. I am now reading King and Maxwell, its the last book in the Sean King and Michelle Maxwell Series, I am almost finished with this series and the series is awesome!
