Delitealex, I see taht we have earned three Bonuses, but not sure what they are. More importantly, what have we not yet earned?

✸ One point can be earned for never picking a book from the alternate lists. This point is awarded when your team rolls past 90.
NOTE:
✸ Each point can only be earned once per team.
✸ The series-specific bonus points (3 or more books/ starting and finishing a series) must be two different series.
✸ Single book bonuses (>500 pages/ Halloween/ 2 in 1) may overlap with a series bonus.

It is bummer we have missed this one: "✸ Halloween Bonus: One point can be earned for reading a Horror/Paranormal/Urban Fantasy book for the roll on 10/25."

I had a look and turns out Loriidae's book for that roll qualifies you for the Halloween bonus, it just wasn't claimed. I'll add it to your tally. :)

Selection Post

Book: It Had to Be You - Jill Shalvis
Qualification: #7 in the Lucky Harbor series
Pages: 352

Does it have to be consecutive?
I read #5 and #9 earlier and this is #7 all in the same series. Would this qualify once I have finished it?

Any three books from the same series will work, doesn't have to be consecutive.

Spectacular!
Thank you Denise.

Wonderful!
And I believe more than one of us will qualify for the final one, once we pass 90.

Review: Late at night Dizzy witnesses her neighbour commit a murder, however when the police arrive, there is no sign of a body or a murder scene. Seen as the town eccentric, no one believes her account. What follows is a contemporary romance with very little suspense as they play a waiting game hoping the neighbour will incriminate himself and provide them with the evidence they need. A lovely tale of rich boy meets hippy girl. Romance 4.5 stars Suspense 2.5 stars Overall 3 stars.

Review: Ali Winters is dumped by her boyfriend, Teddy, and then the money he was holding for the new community center goes missing the next day. A piece of pottery that she took back from his office in a snit, leaving him a nasty note, ends up having a money wrapper inside implicating her. Luke Hanover owner of the house that Teddy was renting and skipped out on returns to Lucky Harbor to get away from a case gone bad and bad publicity to discover Ali in residence and in trouble. OK romance but very instant love and jumping into bed while saying no commitments and then everyone having guilt trips about something.
Bonus Point for reading 3 in the same series. Read #5, #7 and #9 from the Lucky Harbor series.

Review: ok this is my second go at this as the first apperantly has gone into a black hole.
I was having a lot of trouble with this final book in a series I had loved. So even after twenty-four hours I have some mixed feelings. I am however thinking that the author was under contract to finish this ninth book, he need a break from this world or the characters, but had to get a book to the publisher. So much of this book was just not up to the previous books standards. A lot of the characters just felt off, but each in different ways. As much as I love Oberon and his Meaty Mysteries at this point I can just hope that Kevin Hearne will do another spin-off from this series. It had so much potential. 🤞🤞(fingers crossed!)

Review:
I really enjoyed reading this book. I find that it is very comforting to go back and read a more classical crime mystery and Agatha Christie is a master of the genre. I really like Hercule Poirots character and the way he goes about solving the mystery. This mystery was a solid one, and I was interested all the way reading the novel. I don't know if it everyone's cup of tea, since it is not very action packed, but I enjoy that kind of story. I think my favorite Agathe Christie novel is still And Then There Were None but this one was really good.

I agree. I recently read The Mysterious Mr. Quin and the The Murder of Roger Ackroyd and loved them both. Great character studies.

Shadow's End (Elder Races #9)
Date Read: 11/15
Rating: ★★★
I enjoyed this series overall but the last few books seemed to drop off a little. I liked Graydon from the beginning and I was glad that he finally got his turn in this installment. However, it dragged in parts for me and did not keep my interest throughout. I was hoping for more in Graydon's story. The Elder Races world was so intriguing but it was probably time for it to come to an end. I will continue to look for more books by this author in the future.

I think this happens to a lot of long running series. Perhaps some authors need to let go of those characters sooner. I am thinking about trying her American Witch series.

Another mystery for Nancy and crew. We finally meet Ned and he was very helpful to Nancy in solving the case. Things were predictably wrapped up by the end. I will be continuing to the next book.

Sorry
