Review: Not a bad book, just predictable typical plot. Insta-attraction that has both puzzled, they just don't do that. Cole has always been more of a good time guy, no commitment, just sex. Savannah digs sex but is a huge commitment issue. Savannah is hired to clean up Cole's off the field image but she can't keep not fantasizing about him. They hook up and she flees, but she's now addicted to him and scared out of her mind. He's a man, a jock, what more can we say, he is terrible with conveying his actual feelings. Plenty of hot scenes for those of you that love that in your romance books.

Review: Clay is a half human leopard changeling. When he was a child growing up with his human mother, his best friend was a little girl younger than he, named Talin. When he was 14, he discovered that Talin's foster father was abusing her, and in a rage, he attacked and killed the man. He ended up in juvenile hall and Talin was taken away to a new foster family. He swore that he would come find her when he was released, but when he got out of juvie at age 18, her social worker told him that she had died in a car crash. Brokenhearted, he gets into a fight with a man at a bar only to discover that he, too, is a leopard changeling and thus Clay joins the DarkRiver clan. Twenty years later, a very much alive Talin, who has become a social worker, comes to find Clay because her kids are disappearing and turning up dead. Clay is stunned that she is alive but determined to help. He is also determined to make Talin a part of his life again. I loved this story. Clay is a wonderful partner, willing to do anything for his love. Talin had a lot of emotional stuff to work through before she was willing to accept what was right there in front of her. We made some nice progress on the PsyNet/Silence story arc. I am really looking forward to the next book.

Review:

We weren't expecting to find a body when we walked into the house.

Of course with Suzanne you know there is always going to be a body. This installment of the series has Suzanne leaving April Springs to aid her college roommate, Autumn. Autumn is concerned that she is losing her mind or that someone is trying to kill her. Hmm. Perhaps it is both.

It was nice to have a change of scenery. I did miss Grace and the usual characters of the town. Living in NC, it is always nice to have landmarks mentioned such as the Biltmore.

There were several viable suspects and a few twists and turns to get to the true killer.

These books are easy to read and go as quickly as the donuts that Suzanne is famous for.

A few recipes in the back although Suzanne did not do any actual cooking in this book.

I really enjoyed this instalment and I am interested to see where this series goes. It helped that I had read most of this author's other series as there were mentions of a few of them in this story and i knew the incidents being referred to but I think i still would have enjoyed this without the prior knowledge of other series.

The mystery for this instalment and over all series mystery arc weaved around each other in this book and there were enough twists so that you didn't immediately know exactly what was going on from the beginning. I am starting to like MC Scout more and more though she does sometimes seem very similar to main characters in some of this author's other series MCs however overall and enjoyable, entertaining read and i am ready to move on to book 3

Review: I've read enough Kristen Ashley to know what to expect from her books, and this one was pretty much the usual. Lots of chaos, overprotective man, borderline TSTL heroine, and a nice easy read. I got a little tired of the heroine in this one -- more than normal-- she was a little over the top with her "issues" but overall it was fun.

While I did enjoy this instalment, it took me longer than normal to get into this story. The pace just seemed a little off. I liked the mystery in this instalment. There were a few different pieces and while some came together easily for me, others took longer which made for a nice surprise. I do enjoy the characters and the way they interact with each other but am feeling the overall series arc a little too drawn out and am hoping we will get to the bottom of it all soon. Still looking forward to seeing where this is going. Definitely an entertaining read

Review:

"Ex-husband, Randall," I managed to say, pushing the words past the lump in my throat.

This was a delightful addition to the Flower Shop Mystery series. There was not a murder and Quincy didn't get caught up in catching a killer. Instead, she meets Alex' mother and father while living her madcap life. Quincy also discovers that her divorce was never final because her husband never signed the papers.

I enjoyed the sweetness of Quincy and Alex' romance. It was nice to have a cozy with no dead bodies. Alex' mom was a force to be reckoned with. Poor Quincy showed her quite a bit of her crazy side.

Of course, everything ends well for involved. I look forward to seeing where the series may go from here.

Review: Dorian, DarkRiver sentinel, hates Psy after a sociopathic Psy serial killer murdered his sister. He is tasked with the job of rescuing a Psy scientist's young child who is being held hostage for her good behavior. Ashaya, the scientist, fakes her death in order to escape from the Psy lab where she is being forced to work. She ends up in Dorian's care. In addition to trying to protect herself from the Psy Council and protect her son, Ashaya has a secret that could spoil everything. Dorian, who is a latent changeling, has to keep Ashaya and her son, Keegan, safe, while discovering the secret and helping Ashaya deal with it. He also has to deal with his developing feelings for the Psy scientist. I greatly enjoyed this book. I love that we get to continue to see the characters from the previous stories; just because they found their mates doesn't mean that they disappear and are never heard from again. They continue to be an integral part of the storyline. It seems that things are beginning to come to a head and I look forward to seeing where it is going to end up. I will definitely be continuing this series.

Review: I've read and liked this author before, and its possible in a different mood I would have liked this book, but my current mood says this was a big miss for me. The characters were interesting enough, but the plot left a lot to be desired --there just really wasn't a reason these two kept running into each other except that the book said they did. And the internal -- and external -- dialogue kept going in ridiculous repetitive circles which is one of my huge reading peeves.

Review:

Sometimes a place reaches deep inside you, flows through you with light and warmth, and fills you with a sense of belonging, a sense of home.

Brynn MacAlister and her former fiancé, Dan planned to buy a microdairy to make cheese. Brynn makes it on her own after she catches him cheating. Brynn has settled into Shenandoah Springs, a small town in the Shenandoah valley of Virginia. Along with her three cows, Petunia, Buttercup and Marigold. Poor Petunia delivered a stillborn calf and is grieving her loss. Brynn lives in the rectory of the old Glebe Church. Her friend Nancy lives in the church. A tragic fire in the church takes Nancy as its victim. Brynn is determined to discover the killer. In the process she puts herself in harm's way.

This was an excellent start to the series. I love the interaction between Brynn and her cows. I really appreciate that she acknowledges Petunia's grief and uses alternative methods to help her. You can really tell that the author is an animal person.

The characters were well thought out and presented like people you would know. The story line is very good and kept me guessing until the end. I had multiple suspects in my mind including the actual culprit.

The recipes in the back of the book are excellent! I learned a lot about cheesemaking as well. It's always a good book when you learn about something that you don't have much knowledge of.

I read through this so quickly and now I'm ready for the next one. I highly recommend adding this to your reading list.
