review: OK this is a complicated book. you have to keep track of the characters First there is Ethan, the ghost; Charlie, the medium; and Daniel, the detective. There is a complicated relationship as Charlie loves Ethan then when they meet He also falls for Daniel and Daniel doesn't believe in ghosts or people who can speak to the dead. They are all caught up in a murder Investigation that has at least three people dead, and at first Daniel believed that charlie was the murderer. Now what Charlie did to have sex with Ethan was he would hookup with a man and before there was sex, Ethan would possess that man. Charlie would still do that even after he hooked up with Daniel. too much like cheating for my liking. The ending (view spoiler) felt too much like a cop out on the author's part.

Review: Abbie wakes up from a dream. Everything hurts. She's not sure why. She assumes she's in a hospital. She sees her husband, crying. He assures her their son is alright. He explains there is something difficult he has to explain and she needs to know right away. From there I was hooked and couldn't put this book down.
This book had me trying to solve the puzzle along with Abbie. I've read JP Delaney's other books. This is my favorite.

Aiden has to solve and prevent Evelyn's murder to get out of the neverending repeating day. He keeps repeating the same day in the bodies of different people. It is a strange book and takes a little getting used to. There is a bit of a surprise at the end.
Just realized whoever rolled forgot to post our spot, so I posted it really quick.Week #9 Spot Posted
Headed to bed. Will ck again in the morning & either I can roll after Elena makes her posting or someone else can roll. I'm good either way.

Finished: Nov 1
Rating: ★★★1/5
Review:
First book in the series and it's a pretty good start. A little too long maybe and pretty gruesome in places, but interesting plot, great characters and it kept me guessing till the end who the murderer is!
Side note: wow, reading a book written and set 20 years ago really brings to mind how far and fast technology has come!
Okay, all done! Thanks for waiting, everyone!Mama, feel free to roll if you're around, and if not, I will once I'm done with the links :)

The Queen Con by Meghan Scott Molin
How it qualifies: The Golden Arrow #2
Date finished: 11/3/2019
Rating: 3 stars
Review: MG and her chosen family of friends and coworkers are forced to focus and help solve additional Golden Arrow related crimes. I love MG's independent knowing of herself and push to include a social justice and gender equitable agenda in the comic book/ superhero world and I love the drag queens!! There were cool new character additions which seemed to disappear at times but solid second book in the series.

Book ~ Up in Smoke 4* ✔️ 10/5
Pages ~ Kindle Edition, 358 pages
How it qualifies: #8 of King Series
Review ~ 4* it was good & Smoke was Def hot. Either I'm remembering it wrong, or there is a plot hole. I thought when Frankie was a kid, I thought she did an errand for her dad and met smoke. If I'm correct, neither one of them remembered it nor was it mentioned. The book also didn't go into detail about how they found what they found. I wanted the Deets on that. I loved getting a glimpse @ all the gang! Especially Rage! That chick cracks me up. I wish we would have gotten a bigger glimpse of nine since his book is next. I know we got more of him and preppies book but I still feel like he's a stranger. But not stranger then Prep. LOL nobody stranger than Prep or Rage! Haha. See what I did there?

Rated 4 Stars
Review: Logan has been hiding in his cottage at the Isle of Wight for four months after a traumatic event at his practice in London left him suffering from PTSD, but when he finds Nick on the beach after he forced himself to collapse, they forge a friendship heavily laced with attraction, that might just be what they both need.
I loved both Logan and Nick. Their chemistry and the easy way in which they both fit in each other lives was just amazing, but what was truly outstanding was their banter, I couldn't get enough of that!
All in all, a fabulous, very enjoyable read, full of emotions, humor and enough angst and suspense to keep things very interesting, with a fantastic array of characters, both main and supporting, that made this into one hell of a book!
Highly recommended!

Review
Emma and Jason are going to get married. The trouble is Jason's friends. They are always getting into some kind of scrape or another. Jason's friends decide to give him a stag party weekend and Jason just wants to rest and wait to get married. Jason is 4'10" and Emma is beautiful and blind so Jason is always thinking she's going to dump him.
I listened to this on audible and the narrator does a great job. It was a funny cute story.

Joyce, can you please verify page count for the edition you've read? Edition on GR you linked is 136 pages long but the Amazon page of the same edition lists it as 230 pages. I wouldn't have asked but books under 140 pages don't qualify for this challenge so it would be good to have it sorted out and, if it's a mistake on GR's part, hopefully correct it :)
GR has two editions listed, the Kindle edition with 136 pages and paperback with 230 - just change the link to the paperback edition and you're good. :)

Book: Dust To Dust by Tami Hoag
Qualification: 2nd in Kovac and Liska series
Finished: Nov 5
Rating: ★★★
Review:
When a Minneapolis Internal Affairs cop is found hung in his own home, everyone assumes suicide or a tragic accident and higher-ups move quickly to have the case closed as soon as possible. But things don't look right to Kovac and Liska and they start digging.
I liked this installment less than the other two I've read in this series. The whodunit part was fairly easy to figure out, plus it features some outdated views on homosexuality which may have seemed tolerable twenty years ago but wouldn't pass in this day and age. Nevertheless it's a solid mystery, Tami Hoag writes very well, and Kovac's and Liska's (my favourite characters in the book) friendship/partnership is goals. Will read more.
Bonus: One point earned for reading three or more books in a series - Kovac and Liska series - Book 5, Book 1, Book 2

We can use the paperback edition (230 p.), so we're good! Joyce, do you mind swapping editions in your review post? Or if not, I can make a note when I do links :)

Review: Chris is the new teacher and assistant coach at Central Valley High School. From the beginning you find out everything about Chris is a lie. No Problem!
Has anybody heard from Dale? Elena might want to PM. She hasn't been on GR for a few days. I know a she got sick for a bit. Elena you can also ask what we do if a member doesn't show.
Hope Dale is okay! The game will probably be over this week anyhow. Other teams will possibly be able to reach 100 with their bonus points We were close!

I hope Dale will check in soon. Either way, you can roll again on Friday as usual. It'll likely be the last roll of the game, as several teams are in the 90s this week, but I hope you'll be wanting to see it through to the end regardless. :)
