These two really were enemies even while giving in to their desires. They just wouldn't admit the attraction. Silly boys!

Reunited/Second Chance - Diving in Deep
Such a disappointment. Not a whole lot more than sex. I think the story was simply there as a reason to have yet another sex scene. After about 1/2 the book, I was turned off and ready for more plot. No such luck. These two hook up a few times over a span of 9 years but Cameron refuses to get any more involved because Noah is his best friend's kid brother. Of course, now that he's all grown up, his boyhood crush has grown to more and he is willing to take whatever scraps Cam throws his way. Which means a lot of one-night stands while his job keeps him traveling. I think Noah should have gotten over Cam. I didn't like him much.

This was very hard for me to rank. One of the reasons I loved Black Hurricane so much was the enimies to lovers feel because Jazz despised Dean thoughout most of the book. But ultimately it was the in love, then heart ache, then the reconnection aspect that held me tight.

Also, I didn't care too much for Offside Chance. It was the characters that put me off, not so much story concept.

Theme: ★★★★. Straight cop tries to help his murdered partner's boyfriend cope with the untimely death. But friendship turns into attraction. Can Straight man be attracted to a gay guy?
Enjoyment: ★★★★ I love GFYs, so this one was right up my alley
TOTAL: ★★★½. Gay love interest was very underdeveloped as a character. But it was still a good story.

☑ Reunited/Second Chance: Something Like Autumn by Jay Bell (Done 10/22)

Theme: ★★★★. Coming of Age/Out of the Closet-ish type of book
Enjoyment: ★★★★½. I dare say that I liked Jace's story the best. I loved him in Book 1 & 2, but I really liked getting the background story because Jace was soooo patient with Ben, that he was bordering on sainthood. It's good to see how he built up his tolerance and love level to be so mature in face of Ben's waffling.
TOTAL: ★★★★½. I can't wait for the movie.

Enjoyment - 5 stars- Thoroughly enjoyed this cover to cover in an evening. I just couldn't put it down! I have the rest of the series now and will be reading about the other Mayson brothers. Yum! This is about Trevor...and his obsession for Liz. They started out before, but things got heated and Trevor backed off, breaking Liz's heart. Now, he doesn't seem to want her, but can't leave her alone and won't let her be with anyone else. The minute another guy gets close, this alpha male growls and makes the other guy lose interest - if he knows what is good for him. Trevor has alpha down to a capital A! I am not sure if I could personally deal with him, but he sure makes for HOT reading. I loved reading the progression of this story.
Also 5 for theme
So this book is 10/10

Enjoyment - 3 stars - Cute story. Predictable, but fun. I did enjoy the thought of how well they fit together due to their great friendship. Quick read that doesn't get you too involved with the story or characters, but is still a decent way to spend an evening.
