Sharon (sharon_alexandr) | 544 comments Ok I entered them. If we need to shift things around, the books will also work for the following letters:

Nobody's Fool - P, N
Spellmans - P, I, S

Teri | 678 comments I will look when i get home and figure out what i can read for zone 1

message 253: by Teri (new)

Teri | 678 comments Can I do My True Love Gave to Me: Twelve Holiday Stories by Stephanie Perkins for P, it was a BOTM in December 2018.

message 254: by Jessi (new)

Jessi (jazzykitty) | 1644 comments Sorry I’m on the app at the moment and I hate that it sometimes cuts off part of a comment. What letter were you wanting? Mine will also work for N so if you need the P then go ahead and switch things around on the spreadsheet!

message 255: by Teri (new)

Teri | 678 comments Oh sorry I don’t know what i was thinking, i saw that P was covered! If we can switch yours though that would be great, i was struggling to find something

message 256: by Teri (new)

Teri | 678 comments Okay, the other book I was going to do isn't available and is expensive, so I will do My True Love Gave to Me: Twelve Holiday Stories which works for S or P
and I will do One Night of Scandal for O, Lesley from Team Lady Lava Leapers read it on 31 August

message 257: by Teri (new)

Teri | 678 comments I tried to move your book Jessi, well, I did move it to N, but I cannot get it to link like you had...so sorry.

message 258: by Jessi (new)

Jessi (jazzykitty) | 1644 comments It’s ok no worries I can re link it when I get a chance.

message 259: by Teri (new)

Teri | 678 comments Should I do Cinder for I, there is a character named Iko...or is someone doing something for that already?

message 260: by Jessi (new)

Jessi (jazzykitty) | 1644 comments I say if it’s not claimed on the sheet then go for it.

message 261: by Cecily (last edited Sep 15, 2019 09:29PM) (new)

Cecily Black | 1805 comments Can I read anything for I? Like it doesn't have to be something someone from another team has read?

Just want to double check

If You're Out There by Katy Loutzenhiser

message 262: by Cecily (new)

Cecily Black | 1805 comments Can this work for Read a book with yellow writing on the cover where the title contains the letters P-O-I-S-O-N (doesn't need to be in that order)

Unstoppable Harnessing Science to Change the World by Bill Nye

Not the whole title is Yellow and it has a sub title so does it count?

message 263: by Cecily (new)

Cecily Black | 1805 comments nvm I found

Before the Poison by Peter Robinson which I believe works

So sorry, had a very busy weekend. Yes this one works!

I will also finish mine (hopefully) today for zone 1. You guys can start reading for zone 2 just can't finish until me and cecily are finished with ours.

I will also get some words up later this evening for zone 3 so you guys can start planning for those. We have about a week, a little less, til round 3 is over and round 4 starts. I will have a countdown when we are closer.

message 265: by Cecily (new)

Cecily Black | 1805 comments I finished mine and started reading that book! ETA on your last book Jessie?

message 266: by Jessi (new)

Jessi (jazzykitty) | 1644 comments Tonight! I get off in about an hour and half and will head home to read!

message 267: by Jessi (new)

Jessi (jazzykitty) | 1644 comments Finished my book for zone 1! We are a go to start books for zone 2. Can someone find a book for task iv. in zone 2? I haven't had any luck trying to find a free one KU but there's so many books on there that there might be one I just can't seem to find one.

Or we could skip it and go straight to zone 3. It's a bit more relaxed and there wouldn't be anymore waiting on people to finish their book(s)?

Let me know what you guys would prefer to do.

message 268: by Teri (new)

Teri | 678 comments I finished my first book for zone 2 and starting to fill in three, I will look when I get home for another task to fit in iv.

message 269: by Teri (new)

Teri | 678 comments I'm striking out on task iv...

you want me to move my other book?

message 270: by Jessi (new)

Jessi (jazzykitty) | 1644 comments Yeah let’s just move our books to zone 3 if they fit. The round is ending soon (Monday morning) and I think it would just be more relaxing to skip to 3

message 271: by Teri (new)

Teri | 678 comments There is a character the ghost of Oscar Wilde.-he does have speaking parts so we can slot Hold me Closer there. I am on my phone and can’t seem to do anything. I think i got some glue stick on the screen too O.o

message 272: by Cecily (new)

Cecily Black | 1805 comments The New Childhood Raising Kids to Thrive in a Connected World by Jordan Shapiro

message 273: by Jessi (new)

Jessi (jazzykitty) | 1644 comments I can't. There is a wait at my library too.

Jessi (jazzykitty) | 1644 comments Hunted through other teams to see what they read and found this on KU

Nerd in Shining Armor (Nerds, #1) by Vicki Lewis Thompson

It has yellow flowers on the cover so it would work

message 276: by Teri (last edited Sep 19, 2019 03:23PM) (new)

Teri | 678 comments I don't have KU, and my library doesn't have it, is it possible for someone else?

message 277: by Jessi (new)

Jessi (jazzykitty) | 1644 comments Hey Teri what other letters will Hold me Closer work for? moving things to zone 3 and skipping zone 2.

D-Character--Dad
L-Character named Lynda

Probably Full Throttle. Your N book. That way it completes a word!

message 286: by Cecily (new)

Cecily Black | 1805 comments Keep the "N" you have as we have 3 more "N"s and an "E" to finish the words we currently have

message 287: by Jessi (new)

Jessi (jazzykitty) | 1644 comments Sorry I edited that I meant to say the N book. I have so many things going on right now I think my brain might explode lol

message 288: by Sharon (new)

Sharon (sharon_alexandr) | 544 comments Hi all, sorry I've been MIA! It's been a rough week at work. I'm off today though so I expect to get some reading done today to help fill in letters.

message 289: by Sharon (new)

Sharon (sharon_alexandr) | 544 comments I finished the audio of In Pieces by Sally Field which will definitely work for I, S, or F.

Can I use her family members' names that she talks about in the book?

message 290: by Jessi (new)

Jessi (jazzykitty) | 1644 comments Unfortunately no. Use it for an "I", that should work.

message 291: by Teri (new)

Teri | 678 comments Finished Cinder
Looking to round 4, I can do 2-3...these are what would be easy for me because I own or my library has them. I'm happy to move things around, just let me know

I can do Squared Away (Out of Uniform, #5) by Annabeth Albert for non-Caucasian MC
Beautiful Creatures (Caster Chronicles, #1) by Kami Garcia for I only watched the movie
The Hobbit or There and Back Again by J.R.R. Tolkien for MPG adventure
Maelstrom (Whyborne & Griffin, #7) by Jordan L. Hawk is 7th in the series

I apologize I was on the app when I replied so I couldn't see the ss to see what the others had read. Non-fiction is so much harder to determine who counts as a "character" than in fiction books. Is there by chance an "N" character who speaks?

Cecily Black | 1805 comments Haha thanks, unfortunately nothing super stand out but nothing too awful either. I just finished my N book and I am going to take a break. I have to read a few for another challenge that I was putting off to get us more before the countdown finished. I also can't wait to go back to work. Too much time in bed!!

message 298: by Jessi (new)

Jessi (jazzykitty) | 1644 comments Well the book I just finished was awful! It started out ok and I was rooting for the MC then halfway through I thought screw her. Her poor husband, so I started rooting for him. The last 5% of the book made me say f it screw them both they deserve each other.

Get to feeling better soon!!

oh good heavens, one of those, huh? Sorry!

message 300: by Jessi (new)

Jessi (jazzykitty) | 1644 comments Thanks! It happens occasionally unfortunately. There’s only one other book I’ve read this year that I hated more so that’s the very very very small silver lining.
