Done!So I was thinking when we're done with the countdown we could work on safezone 2 first since it gets us more points. Then work on safezone 1, nice of them to give us bonus points on that one, then zone 3.
Does anyone have a different preference for approaching the safezones?
I will also look at the words to see which will work best for zone 3.

Sounds good, I'm tossing and turning...ugh...but can't focus...grrrr. So we can choose ANY book that another team has read for this challenge so far? or a book of the month, correct?

I started
for the 50%+ black cover. My husband isn't home tonight, so I'm looking forward to a couple hours of reading :)I'm fine with whichever safezone you all think. We all seem to read pretty quickly, so whichever group gets us the most points with books we have access to is good.
I finished North of Montana and added it to the spreadsheet. Also, I traded out Spinning Silver for Witchmark for the NPR list task, it is about 160 pages shorter so I won't feel rushed.

No we’re just waiting on Cecily and Sharon. I have been catching up on some of my other books that are not part of this challenge since I finished up mine.
As soon as Sharon is done we can begin on zone 2. Cecily you might be able to snoop at what the other teams are reading if that helps you find a book for zone 2. Or we can do zone one first since it’s a bit easier!
For the "Read a book with something nasty on the cover (open to interpretation) and that contains the word LEMON in the text or title" I found:

I have found 2 books for zone 1 but I wanted to find one for zone 2 so I can help there too. I am still going to look for the last book for zone 2 as well. Can it only be one book per zone per person? Do we have to finish a zone before we can continue on ??

As soon as we’re done with the countdown tasks we can move on. The countdown timer the mods posted is when we have to be done with the countdown tasks or else we lose points for what’s not completed
Where is the countdown timer? Also, do you think the book I chose for zone 2 will work?

At least two of us have to read for zone 1 and 2. We can’t start reading for the safe zones until all books for the countdown are completed. If we start with safe zone 2 and you finish your book(s) then you can start reading for safe zone 1 but just can’t finish that book until all books for zone 2 are completed. I hope that makes sense it’s hard to try to explain lol

@Cecily, that book should work for something nasty on cover. I can take it to the thread where we ask other teams if they think it works. But I’m sure they will vote yes
Hey no worries Cecily!! We have to read for all 4 letters but since we’re in Crater level only two of those letters has to be a book a team previously read or a previous BOM.

I also posted the countdown the mods posted up above somewhere I’m on the app now so I can’t see the comment numbers to let you know which message it was.

I can't seem to find a green book that fits the author requirements, I hope someone has better luck than I did
The Cat Who Talked Turkey is an option that I think several teams are using. If you can't get it I can get it and read it!
So, can I do "I" for the Group 1 when we get there? Shelby from team More Feisty Than Vesuvius read Ignite on August 14th. I can do that one if no one has claimed it yet. If not, I'll keep looking

and yes you can start Ignite as long as you don't finish it.We should try to do words that are fairly short and have higher point values. EX: With and In.
We can do In several times since it's in multiple tasks. I will try to do some math and see which ones will give us the most points for fewer books!
